Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza's first teleserye Destined To Be Yours aired its final episode on May 26, 2017.
The 13-week run of the GMA-7 show focused on the romance of Sinag (Maine) and Benjie (Alden) and how circumstances hindered their love story.
They faced their greatest challenge when their parents forbid them from seeing each other after the two met an accident.
Sinag was tricked into thinking that Benjie died from the accident. Benjie also believed that Sinag was killed by the vehicular accident.
Sinag tried to move on after the incident and planned to go to Dubai. Benjie tried to follow her but he did not catch her at the airport.
However, Sinag and Benjie proved that they are really destined for each other.
In the end, the two found each other again when they visited the tree where they promised each other of their undying love.
Eventually, Benjie and Sinag got married.
Benjie was teary-eyed when he saw his bride walking down the aisle.

Meanwhile, Sinag cracked a joke on their wedding and told Benjie as part of her wedding vows, "Tara, honeymoon na tayo!"
