Ang dedlayn ng pagsusumite ay Setyembre 17, 2026, Huwebes ng 6:00 P.M.
Bago matapos ang nasabing awards night ay ipinost na sa Facebook page ng Cinemalaya ang links ng mechanics at forms sa panawagan.
Nakatsikahan ng PEP Troika sandali si Direk Laurice matapos ang seremonya.
Aniya, ang nagbigay ng pondo para makapag-call for entries na ay ang mga “pinsan” ng Cinemalaya na Film Academy of the Philippines (FAP) at Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP).
Ang director general ng FAP ay si Direk Paolo Villaluna, samantalang ang chairman at CEO ng FDCP ay si Jose Javier Reyes o Direk Joey.

ONLINE ang pagsusumite ng full-length entry.
Ang requirements ay ang mga sumusunod:
Concept paper of the project containing the premise(s) of the film.
Genre.
Tagline.
Key characters, and their descriptions in Filipino or English.
Two-page synopsis/storyline of the film project.
Resume of the proponent/s.
Two (2) recent photos of proponent/s.
A sample of the work directed by the proponent.

Inilabas ng Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) at Cinemalaya Foundation, Inc. ang iba pang mga alintuntunin sa call for full-length entries ng 23rd Cinemalaya filmfest.
Anila sa press release na natanggap ng PEP Troika ngayong Agosto 20, Huwebes: “The sheets containing the concept paper must NOT bear the name of the proponent. Full scripts will not be accepted.
“Interested participants may submit a maximum of three entries. However, only one entry per proponent may be considered as a finalist.
“Works already in principal photography or the post-production phase before AUGUST 2026 are disqualified, except for documentaries.
“Works that are attached to film and television productions, as well as those of local streaming platforms, are eligible for submission as long as said works are not commissioned projects but originated from the filmmaker as a proponent.
“Commissioned works from commercial platforms are disqualified for consideration.
“By OCTOBER 17, the Cinemalaya Competition Committee shall select 30 promising submissions, whose proponents will be invited to a pitching session on OCTOBER 31 for their respective projects.
“The initial selection will be narrowed down to 20 entries, whose proponents will participate in the Cinemalaya Film Lab, a film laboratory and mentorship program under the Cinemalaya Institute from NOVEMBER 2026 to JANUARY 2027.
“The Cinemalaya Film Lab is a program that brings together resource persons from different aspects of filmmaking, from scriptwriting, directing, cinematography, performance, editing, production design, sound, music, production management, and promotion strategies.
“From the film lab and mentorship program of the Cinemalaya Institute, the Competition Committee will choose the 10 finalists for the 2027 Cinemalaya Main Competition.
“The ten (10) film finalists will be screened during the festival period on AUGUST 5 to 17, 2027 at various festival venues.
“Since 2005, Cinemalaya has been committed to the development and promotion of Philippine independent film. At its core, it provides an avenue for the production of cinematic works of Filipino independent filmmakers that boldly articulate and freely interpret the Filipino experience with fresh insight and artistic integrity.
“With its call for submissions for the 2027 full-length film competition, Cinemalaya continues to invigorate the Philippine film industry by developing a new breed of Filipino filmmakers.”

Sa newsletter ng Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) na natanggap ng PEP Troika noong Agosto 4, 2026, ipinasilip ang newly refurbished lobby ng CCP sa kalagitnaan ng ongoing rehabilitation project.
CINEMALAYA SET TO RETURN TO CCP IN 2027
Inaasahang sa Abril 2027 ay may pagtatanghal na muli sa CCP, kaya doon na gaganapin ang 23rd edition ng Cinemalaya sa Agosto 5-17, 2027.
Opo! Thirteen (13) days muli ang Cinemalaya next year.
Narito ang update ng CCP sa August 2026 newsletter: “The Cultural Center of the Philippines marked another milestone in the rehabilitation of its Main Building with an exclusive walkthrough with the members of its Board of Trustees, management officials, project consultants, and key stakeholders at the newly rehabilitated Main Lobby.
“The walkthrough offered attendees a first look at the transformed space, where the building's iconic architectural character has been carefully preserved while integrating modern enhancements that improve accessibility, functionality, and the overall visitor experience.
“Among the highlights were the installation of a new carpet on the Grand Staircase and the refurbishment of its iconic chandeliers.
“Guided by the rehabilitation team, participants were briefed on the restoration works and the meticulous efforts undertaken to preserve the integrity of National Artist for Architecture Leandro V. Locsin's original vision.
“The tour also showcased the careful restoration of key architectural features and finishes, underscoring the balance between heritage conservation and contemporary building standards.
“The restored lobby reflects the CCP's continuing commitment to safeguarding one of the country's foremost cultural landmarks while preparing it to serve future generations of artists and audiences.”
