As we know now, kumahog si Jackie Lou, dahil from her performance last night ay diretso sila sa hospital para sa ina na si Pilita Corrales (Mamita ang tawag niya).
Pumanaw si Tita Pilita nitong Abril 12, 2025, Saturday morning.
Ang sabi ni Jackie Lou sa akin, “Mamita has always taught us that despite the challenges, the show must go on, and doing the show is the best way for me to honor her.”
True enough, ang sabi ni Issa Litton na kasama sa unang play na Let’s Do Lunch kay Jackie Lou, “You are loved. You are a true professional. As you said you honor your mom by being here. We are here for you.”
Ang sabi naman ni Bibeth Orteza na pinanood din si Jackie sa matinee show nitong Sabado, “Caught Jackie Lou Blanco’s performance in Theatre Tita’s The Foxtrot, and wow, Pilita Corrales was beaming with pride from heaven.”
Standing ovation ang mga tao sa The Foxtrot nina Jackie Lou at JC.
From the play, tumuloy si Bibeth sa wake ng apo ni Kitchie Benedicto at se-segue siya sa cremation ni Tita Pilita after.

Buhos sa social media ang pagbibigay-pugay sa namayapang Asia’s Queen of Songs, dahil talaga namang malaki ang naiambag niya sa ating entertainment industry.
Ang cute ng ipinost ni Jericho Rosales sa kanyang Instagram account kung saan may video siya ng kanyang inang sinasabayan ang pag-awit ng kantang "Pipit" ni Pilita Corrales.
Katabi niya sa upuan si Janine Gutierrez na nakangiti.
Sabi ni Jericho sa caption ng kanyang IG post, “(three white hearts) and big hugs to the family of a legend and most beloved singer of my mother. Her songs went beyond memory. It was a great honor to have met her. Maraming-maraming salamat po #Pilita Coralles #AsiasQueenOfSongs.”
Kumusta na kaya ang documentary film na pino-produce ni Janine?
Noong nakapanayam namin si Janine pagkatapos niyang dumalo sa Venice Film Festival noong 2024, napag-usapan namin ang binubuo nilang documentary film para sa kanyang Mamita.
“We started working on the film. Of course, there are a lot of life lessons that we could learn from Mamita and I really want to honor her,” pakli ni Janine.
Si Baby Ruth Villarama ang director nito, at talagang masusi raw kanilang pagre-research.
Wala raw silang hinahabol na deadline. Ibang Pilita raw ang gusto nilang isasalarawan sa documentary film na ginagawa nila.
Isang Pilita Corrales na survivor, at talagang nagsikhay nang husto para sa kanyang pamilya.
“Everything she does is for her family. And at the same time, as a woman. She overcame a lot of adversity.
"She started singing to be a breadwinner because her dad passed away. And she went through a lot.
“There’s so much to learn about being a woman and overcoming problems. Whatever happened, patuloy lang siyang bumabangon talaga,” sabi pa noon ni Janine Gutierrez.

Open sa publiko ang lamay mula Abril 14, Lunes Santo, hanggang Abril 16, Miyerkules Santo. Taos-pusong nakikiramay ang PEP sa mga naulila.
