Nagkomento si Sandro sa pahayag ni Garduque sa isang panayam matapos nilang ihain ang complaint ni Rita.
Bahagi ng pahayag niya sa GMA News, “This is not easy for Rita. Any woman, it’s really hard for them to come out and magsabi ng mga ganitong krimen.”
Ini-screenshot ni Sandro ang interview na ito at pinost niya sa kanyang Instagram Stories.
Caption niya rito: “completely agree with you @attymaggie mahirap talaga mag come forward kaya victims and survivors should never be blamed or made to feel guilty for what happened to them. but wow, how ironic atty. that now you’re standing with a victim of an assault. Justice will prevail!”

ATTY. GARDUQUE REACTS
Reaksiyon ni Garduque: “He has his lawyer who can explain to him the work of the lawyers.”
Ifinorward ni Atty. Maggie sa PEP Troilka ang comments na pinapaintindi kay Sandro kung ano ang trabaho ng mga abogado.
Ipinadala niya uli ang unang text niya sa amin tungkol sa mga kumukuwestiyon kung saan ba talaga ang simpatiya niya—sa biktima o sa akisado.
Ayon sa abogada, “If a person comes to me saying that he/she is a victim, I will assess the facts and his/her evidence. If I believe that he/she is telling the truth, I’ll accept the case.
“If a person goes to me, saying that he/she is falsely accused, I’ll assess also his counter-allegations and evidence. If I believe that he/she has a valid defense, then I’ll accept the case.
“At the end of the day, we lawyers are not judges. It is our job to protect every person’s right kahit victim or accused pa sya. Both party has his/her respective rights.”
