Masalimuot ang karakter ni Arjo Atayde bilang Anton de la Rosa sa six-episode Prime Video series na Cattleya Killer.
Ang crime thriller series ay batay sa 1996 film na Sa Aking Mga Kamay, na tinampukan nina Christopher de Leon, Aga Muhlach at Chin-Chin Gutierrez, na idinirek ni Rory Quintos.
Ilang beses pinanood ni Arjo ang nasabing pelikula tungkol isang psychopatic serial killer na pumapatay ng unfaithful married women.
“It’s one of my favorite films,” sabi ni Congressman Arjo sa gala premiere ng Cattleya Killer nitong Mayo 12, Biyernes ng gabi sa Trinoma, Quezon City.
“Definitely one of the hit films before, and also definitely everyone I’m sure has seen the film.”
Bilang paghahanda sa kanyang role sa Cattleya Killer ay nanood si Arjo ng documentaries at videos, at nag-research on his own.
“They created a character. I just tried to get into it, and just went with the flow. And with all the actors I’m with, it was much easier to work very much,” sambit ni Anjo.
Co-stars ni Arjo sa seryeng ito sina Jake Cuenca, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Jane Oineza, Ria Atayde, Ricky Davao, Nonie Buencamino, Rafa Siguion-Reyna, Joel Sarracho, Ketchup Eusebio, at Christopher de Leon.
Paano naman kumawala si Arjo sa ganoon kabigat na role?
“I don’t know how to explain how I really get into the character. There’s a lot of analyzing in the beginning, ‘no?” tugon ni Arjo.
“Especially when Direk Dan [Villegas] was trying to explain specifically how the character should be.
“I can’t explain, e. Definitely I just try to get into the character, I just went with every flow based on instinct.
“Definitely with the guidance of… again what Direk and the production wanted for Anton de Rosa’s personality to be, for his being.
“So definitely it was all studied, and I was helped by the production and Direk.”
Ang Cattleya Killer ay mag-uumpisang mag-streaming sa Hunyo 1 sa Prime Video.
Co-producers ng serye si Sylvia Sanchez at ang mga anak na sina Arjo at Ria Atayde, sa ilalim ng kanilang Nathan Studios.

Magkapatid ang papel nina Jake Cuenca at Arjo Atayde sa Cattleya Killer.
Pahayag ni Arjo, “Si Jake po, masayang katrabaho, e. It’s so easy, kasi si Jake is besides a friend, a really close friend, he’s also very generous as an actor.
“He’s literally giving and throwing, and enjoying the scene. So again, we enjoyed it at the end of the day, and we collaborated kaya po ganun po whatever you’ll see on the series.”
Ang gumanap na tatay nila ni Jake ay si Christopher de Leon, na isa sa mga bida ng pelikulang Sa Aking Mga Kamay.
Kumusta ang pakikipagtrabaho niya kay Christopher sa seryeng ito?
Sagot ni Arjo, “We’re very much overwhelmed with the fact that he carried on to the spin-off, from Sa Aking Mga Kamay to Cattleya Killer, ‘no.
“And we’re very blessed to have him. How is it working with him? Super-giving po. He’s such a brilliant actor.
“No words can explain how thankful I am to be given the opportunity to work with him. Magaling po talaga si Tito Boyet! It was one hell of a ride!”
At yung pelikula ni Arjo na Topakk ay isa sa apat na pelikulang Pilipino na may exclusive screenings sa Cannes Marché du Film mula Mayo 16 hanggang 26.
Ang action-thriller na Topakk ay idinirek ni Richard Somes, at co-stars dito ni Arjo sina Julia Montes, Sid Lucero, Enchong Dee, Kokoy de Santos, Vin Abrenica, Paolo Paraiso, Bernard Palanca, Cholo Barreto, Jeffrey Tam, Michael Roy Jornales, Maureen Mauricio, Anne Feo, Levy Ignacio, Elora Espano, Ivan Carapiet, Julio De Leon, Ian Lee, Gelli Bulaong, Kayley Carrigan, Manu Respall, Roshon Canete Barman, Ivan Rivera, Yian Gabriel, Victor Medina, Claire Ruiz, Nico Dans at Gerard Acao.

Dumalo si Maine Mendoza sa gala premiere ng Cattleya Killer bilang suporta sa kanyang fiance.
Hindi siya rumampa sa black carpet. Nakita na lang siya ng mga press people matapos ipalabas ang pilot episode ng nasabing series.
Lumapit si Maine sa mother-in-law-to-be niyang si Sylvia Sanchez at nagpaunlak na magpalitrato kasama ito.
Ano ang reaksyon ni Maine nang mapanood ang Cattleya Killer?
“Mahusay! Napakahusay!” bulalas ni Maine.
Super-proud siya?
“Super! Lalo na kay tita as a mom,” sabay hawak ni Maine sa balikat ni Sylvia.
Hinawakan ni Sylvia ang mga pisngi ng mamanugangin. Dagdag ni Maine, “As a mom to Ria and Arjo… and to me.”
“Malapit na!” bulalas ni Sylvia sabay yakap kay Maine.
“Galing! Galing! Congrats, tita!” sambit ni Maine.
Sabi naman ni Sylvia, “Wala akong masabi… basta, magaling yung mapapangasawa mo umarte,” sabay yakap uli kay Maine.
Sey pa ni Maine sa magiging biyenan, “Mahusay kayo. Kanino pa ba magmamana?”
“Thank you, thank you sa pagdating!” bulalas pa ni Sylvia.
“Nahihiya po ako,” sey ni Maine, na niyakap na naman ng nanay ni Arjo.
Sa mediacon, inusisa si Arjo kung itong Cattleya Killer ang tipo ng palabas na gusto niyang ipapanood kay Maine.
Sagot ni Arjo, “Definitely po, kahit kanino. We really worked hard for it. And always, as I’ve said, again so much to say about everyone, but yun po, definitely.
“Very proud to make anyone—especially Maine—watch it.”
