As expected, nanguna sa takilya ng North America nitong May 5-7, 2023 weekend ang bagong bukas na Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (GOTG Vol 3).
Humamig ng $118.4M ang finale ng Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy, na dinalirot ang pinagmulan ni Rocket (boses ni Bradley Cooper).
Matapos ang four consecutive weekends na number 1 sa takilya ng U.S. at Canada, pumangalawa na lamang ang The Super Mario Bros. Movie, na humamig ng $18.6M.
Worldwide, nanatiling pinakamalakas this year ang The Super Mario Bros. Movie ($1.155B), na sinundan ng Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania ($475M), at John Wick: Chapter 4 ($406M).
Agad pumang-apat ang Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, na $289.3M na ang global gross.
Kinabog nito ang kinita ng Creed III ($274M), Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves ($202M), Scream VI ($169M), Shazam! Fury of the Gods ($133M), Pathaan ($129M), at Evil Dead Rise ($115M).

Hindi pa rin maganda ang resulta ng mga pelikula natin sa mga sinehan, kaya hindi na nangahas ang Regal Entertainment at Black Sheep na magkaroon ng cinema release ang Ang Mga Kaibigan ni Mama Susan ni Direk Chito Roño.
Kahit si Joshua Garcia pa ang bida rito, tamang desisyon na ring huwag nang ipalabas ito sa mga sinehan.
Nakatakda na ang streaming nito sa Prime Video sa Mayo 18.
Sa Mayo 12 naman ay ipalalabas na sa Vivamax ang Fall Guy ni Direk Joel Lamangan na pinagbidahan ni Sean de Guzman.
Nakaikot na ang pelikulang ito sa ilang international film festivals at napanalunan pa ni Sean ang best actor trophy sa Chithiram International Film Festival sa India, at sa Anatolian Film Awards sa Turkey.
Pero hindi pa sapat ito para i-showing sa mga sinehank kaya maganda na ring mag-Vivamax na ito.
Sa Hunyo 2 naman mag-i-streaming sa Netflix ang pelikulang Mixed Connections nina Miles Ocampo at Kelvin Miranda. Co-stars nila rito sina JC Santos at Chie Filomeno.
May mga pelikulang nagpa-premiere night, pero hanggang ngayon ay wala pa tayong idea kung saan at kailan ipapalabas ang mga ito.
