“You are 31 million strong. That is nearly one-third of our population. With this strength in numbers, you can influence the economy in ways that are both significant and lasting,” ani Puyat-Romulo sa YFI Initiative launch via online.

WHY THE NEED FOR FINANCIAL LITERACY

Sabi ng youth commissioner, “This lack of knowledge can lead to poor financial decisions, high levels of debt, and limited economic movement.

“Not to mention, maapektuhan ang gobyerno natin kasi this poverty will lead always to corruption.”

“Understanding financial concepts early in life sets the stage for long-term success. Bakit? Because it empowers you to make smart choices about spending, saving, investing.”

Ayon sa buong post nitong January 8, 2025: “Secretary Sonny Angara met with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and BDO Foundation, represented by Deputy Governor Bernadette Romulo-Puyat and President Mario Deriquito, for a briefing on their ongoing collaboration on financial literacy anchored on the DepEd Fin-Ed Policy and the Youth Entrepreneurship Act (authored by Angara as a senator).

“Ten produced videos for learners and teachers, 53 learner-generated videos, and 326 lesson exemplars have been produced all of which Secretary Angara ordered the intensified public dissemination via digital media.”
