Hindi pa makabayad sa MERALCO? Puwedeng mag-appeal

Customers can appeal for more time to settle their unpaid bills, says MERALCO.

As Metro Manila and surrounding areas shift to General Community Quarantine (GCQ) with heightened restrictions, MERALCO's disconnection activities has also resumed.

But the Facebook page of the country's largest power distributor announced, "Kung hirap makabayad nang buo, kausapin lang po kami para makagawa tayo ng mas magaan na plano at para iwasan ang standard disconnection procedures. Magiging mapagmalasakit kami sa ating sitwasyon ngayon."

MERALCO had suspended disconnections since last year as consumers struggled to recover from the pandemic's financial tolls. Payments in installments were accepted as relief to customers.

Subscribers who need more time to pay for their unsettled bills can reach out to Meralco through the following channels:

Those requesting for extensions or payments plans must prepare their Customer Account Number or CAN when they contact Meralco.

MERALCO's in-person business centers can also accommodate inquiries and requests. Set an appointment ahead of time on the website to avoid long queues.

Centers are open to serve customers from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays. Only payments are accepted on Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m.
