Ang singer na si Louie Heredia ang isa sa mga miyembro ng Selection Committee ng 74th Miss Universe, at nagaganap ngayong Sabado, Nobyembre 15, 2025, sa Pattaya, Thailand, ang closed-door preliminary interview sa 122 official candidates ng patimpalak.
Lumipad si Louie sa Bangkok noong Nobyembre 12, Miyerkules, at sa ekslusibong panayam ng Cabinet Files via Facebook Messenger, ibinahagi niya ang kuwento tungkol sa kanyang hindi inaasahang imbitasyon at partisipasyon sa pinaka-prestihiyosong international beauty pageant.
“The Miss Universe Organization (MUO) had told me earlier that I will be part of the panel of the Closed-Door Interview on Nov. 15 in Pattaya to interview 122 candidates. But of course, nothing is really sure until I actually received the invite letter from MUO.
“At first, I thought it was just for the Closed-Door interview, and then I was told that I will also be part of the panel of judges for the Preliminary Competition on November 19 at the Impact Arena.
“I am feeling extremely overwhelmed and definitely, I know that this is a privilege and an honor to be part of the Selection Committee for the 74th Miss Universe Pageant.
“I still can't believe it, that I'm actually gonna be part of the Selection Committee!
"I know God put me here for a reason, so my mindset now is to do the job well and to choose the best lady who would become the 74th Miss Universe.”
May ideya ba siya kung bakit siya napili ng MUO para maging miyembre ng Selection Committee ng 74th Miss Universe?
“Well, I am friends with Khun Anne Jakrajutatip and most of the MUO people as well. We have spent good times together in Thailand and Mexico.
"Maybe in our get-togethers, they liked what they saw and found my personality and expertise as fit to be part of the Selection Committee for this year's edition of Miss Universe,” pahayag ni Louie.
Sinagot din niya ang tanong ng Cabinet Files tungkol sa mga nais niyang malaman mula sa mga kandidata ng 74th Miss Universe.
“Of what I've been told, each candidate will have three minutes per interviewer in the Closed-Door interview.
“I have some questions in my mind. I just want the conversation to flow for each candidate I will interview. It's going to be long hours, for sure.”
Bilang isang mang-aawit, plus factor ba sa kanya kung marunong kumanta ang kandidata?
“It would be nice if a certain candidate could sing because that means she is talented. I am sure the talent would not only be in singing but in other aspects of her personality as well,” ani Louie.

Si Ahtisa Manalo ang opisyal na kinatawan ng Pilipinas sa 74th Miss Universe pero tiniyak ni Louie na bilang miyembro ng Selection Committee, hindi magkakaroon at hindi iiral sa kanya ang “bias.”
“We were told by MUO to have no biases and that's exactly what I'm going to do.
"They entrusted me to be part of the Selection Committee this year, so I should definitely not break that trust.
“Miss Universe Philippines Ahtisa Manalo is my friend, but I am sure she will understand my position.
"I have not spoken to her since her birthday dinner many months back, but of course, I wish her all the best.”
Sa tanong ng Cabinet Files tungkol sa kanyang mga criteria bilang hurado, sumagot si Louie ng: “Of course, the usual criteria, such as beauty, brains, charisma, pleasing personality, etc...
"But really, I know I will just feel it that this one special lady will stand out and eventually be the 74th Miss Universe!”
what louie will wear for the event
Magaganap sa Nobyembre 21 ang koronasyon ng 74th Miss Universe at pinaghandaan na ito nang mabuti ni Louie na nagpaunlak na sabihin ang kanyang mga gagamiting kasuotan.
“I am excited to be wearing Michele Sison's creations. Just simple but classy since she knows my personality well.
“She told me that not 'bagay' for me to be using a necktie and she is absolutely right. I actually never or hardly use neckties.
“I am excited to be wearing her designs. There will be other functions, too that I will be attending, like dinners with the MUO people.
“Raul Rocha, MUO owner, is giving a Mexican dinner...should I wear a Mexican Sombrero that evening?”
Nang matanggap ni Louie ang imbitasyon ng Miss Universe Organization bilang miyembro ng Selection Committee ng 74th Miss Universe, si 22nd Miss Universe Margie Moran ang isa sa mga sinabihan niya.
“I messaged Margie the minute I found out that I will be part of the panel of the Closed-Door Interview, and she told me that she would be so nervous being interviewed by me.
“I said, 'Margie, you are Miss Universe...our Miss Universe for life!'”
