“It’s definitely going to be a busy December for me, but I wanted this. I wanted to do a film right after Incognito and perfect timing talaga yung Shake, Rattle & Roll.

“Parang everything aligned for me. It’s a comeback of Shake, Rattle & Roll to the Metro Manila Film Festival.

RICHARD GUTIERREZ ON STATE OF LOCAL MOVIE INDUSTRY

“It’s a very exciting time ahead for the movie industry. Talagang we have an advocacy now, yung ibang mga artist, producers, and everyone to get people back to the cinemas.

"To fill up the cinema seats again and gusto namin talaga na magawa ito, hopefully, this Christmas season.

“Right now, I’m in a point in my career where I want to do good projects and projects na talagang, kumbaga, malapit sa puso ko.

“And siguro to experience sa TV, movies, na I can give inputs creatively.

"So, I am very happy that the producers, sina Keith and Miss Roselle Monteverde, they welcomed all my ideas and they’re very collaborative.

“I am very thankful to be working with them. Sobrang hands-on nila and sobrang passionate,” sabi ni Richard.

“This is a horror film and I haven’t done a horror film in a while. Very exciting ito kasi may flavor of action. It’s a story about survival.

“Nandun yung horror, nandun yung jump scares, pero we added a touch of action.

"But it’s a totally different action from Incognito and Ironheart.”

NOOD KA MUNA!

“It’s good to be part of the movie industry until now. Nung mga bata pa lang kami, we’re part of the movie industry.

"I am happy with what I am doing now with my career. I’m happy with my life.

“But I’m also still hungry for more. More projects, to give more to the industry, more to the core audience.

"Kasi I always believe that we can elevate the movie industry.

“We can elevate the TV again especially now, with all the entertainment apps, Netflix is there, Amazon is there.

“So, it’s quite a challenging time now to create good films and to bring people back to the cinemas, and that’s going to be my advocacy.”
