Ipinararating ni re-elected Quezon City Fifth District Councilor Alfred Vargas, at ng kanyang kapatid na si Quezon City Fifth District Representative PM Vargas, ang pasasalamat sa kanilang mga kababayan sa Novaliches dahil sa dobleng tagumpay nila sa halalang naganap noong Mayo 12, 2025.
Ang nakaraang eleksyon ang pang-anim na pangangampanya at pagwawagi ni Alfred.

Una siyang tumakbo at nanalo bilang konsehal sa ikalimang distrito ng Quezon City noong 2010.
Nang matapos ang termino niya noong 2013, kumandidato siya bilang congressman sa parehong distrito ng kanilang lungsod. Muli siyang nanalo.
Nahalal siyang muli bilang congressman noong 2016 at 2019 elections.
Nang matapos ang kanyang ikatlong termino bilang Quezon City Fifth District representative noong 2022, ang nakababatang kapatid niyang si PM Vargas naman ang kumandidato sa parehong posisyon.
Si Alfred naman ay bumalik sa pagkakonsehal.
Ang pagwawagi ng magkapatid ngayong 2025 election ay ang ikalawa nilang termino sa kasalukuyang posisyon.
Bukod sa mga kadistrito niya sa Novaliches City, nagpapasalamat din si Alfred sa misis nitong si Yasmine Vargas at sa kanilang tatlong anak na buong pusong sinuportahan ang kanyang kandidatura.
“I thanked them immensely, especially my wife, Yasmine. My family has sacrificed so much to support me these last 15 years in public service.
“So much of my time was spent serving others and sometimes, at the expense of my time with my family.
"But they understood me all the way and knew how much passion I had in trying to effect positive change.
“I have achieved so much because my wife and children supported me and for that, I am immensely grateful.”

ALFRED ON 2025 ELECTIONS
Ayon kay Alfred, naging mahirap ang laban nila ni PM nitong nakaraang eleksyon dahil sa fake news at banta sa kanilang mga kaligtasan.
Saad ni Alfred sa Cabinet Files: “To be honest, medyo mahirap talaga ang laban namin na ito.
"We had to battle massive disinformation and fake news, deal with several threats and ensure our physical safety.
“We endured countless dirty tactics during the campaign and had to face the reality that our opponent had 'unlimited' resources.
“So, no, we didn’t expect it. We hoped for the best but prepared for the worst.
"With God’s grace and the people’s love and support, we got the best possible result."

Ano ang mga bagong karanasan ni Alfred sa mapaghamong pangangampanya?
Saad niya: “This is my sixth campaign at sa awa ng Diyos, palagi Niya tayong pinagpapala at ginagabayan.
“Medyo ibang-iba talaga ang campaign na ito kasi ang daming pananakot, pambabastos, fake news, paninira, at pandaraya na nangyari. Pero we held our ground and stood for our principles.
“In the end, naging matimbang pa rin sa mamamayan ng Novaliches ang totoong serbisyo at tunay na samahan.
"The best campaign is still your performance at kung ano talaga ang mga naitulong mo sa mga tao.
“This win is very special for me and my brother because we really felt the love of our supporters who fought for us, tooth and nail… blood, sweat, and tears!
“Despite experiencing several and even unexpected, betrayals and treachery, we saw that a lot more people were really loyal to our cause and were willing to fight for the truth and stand for our principles.
“But in this campaign, I particularly missed my mother and father.
"There were times na hirap na hirap na kami ng brother ko, we wished na sana kasama pa namin sina Mom and Dad sa mga ganitong sitwasyon for guidance and wisdom.
“Pero after all, naramdaman namin ang presence nila guiding us to make the right decisions and do the right things.
“Yung mga aral at prinsipyong itinuro nila sa amin ang siyang nagpatibay sa amin and eventually helped us achieve victory.
"Hindi naman pala nawawala ang mga magulang. They will always be there for you."

THE SCHOLARS OF ALFRED VARGAS
Nagulat daw si Alfred dahil sa mga taong lumapit at nagpasalamat sa kanya sa kampanya dahil nakatapos sila ng pag-aaral.
“Many times during the campaign, halos every day, ang daming lumapit sa akin at nagpakilala na scholar ko sila dati at napa-graduate ko ng college.
“Meron nang mga IT specialists, branch manager ng fast food chain, teachers, nurses, engineers, baristas, accountants, and even elected barangay officials, among others.
“Sobrang nakaka-proud at nakaka-touch. Lalo akong na-inspire sa kanila when they all volunteered to campaign for me and my brother.
“Nung tinanong ko sa office ko kung ilan na ba ang scholars ko from the beginning, naka 20k++ college graduate scholars na pala ako!”
Simula sa Hulyo 2025, uumpisahan na nina Alfred at PM ang kanilang bagong educational assistance program para sa mga kabataan, ang Alagang Vargas Scholarship Program 2.0, Level Up!.
Paliwanag ni Alfred tungkol sa scholarship program nila: “This educational assistance program aims to provide one scholar for every Novaleño family. Isang pamilya, may isang iskolar.
“This scholarship is for elementary, high school, and college levels, and there is no grade requirement. Basta pasado ka, pasado ka na rin sa program.
“The scholarship will continue until the student graduates from college.”
