Ang dating Pinoy Big Brother 737 housemate na si Ryan James Bacalla na isa nang transwoman at kilala ngayon sa pangalan na Rian Bacalla ang nagwaging Queen of Cebu City Pride sa koronasyon na idinaos noong Biyernes, Hunyo, 28, 2024 sa Sawang Calero Sports Complex, Cebu City.

First runner-up sa Queen of Cebu City Pride 2024 si Leigh Ortiz, second runner-up si Jic Manuel, Queen of Cebu City Pride Charity si Mattie Lumapas at Queen of Cebu City Pride Tourism si Jessica Bajenting.
Pinatunayan ni Bacalla na may katotohanan ang matandang kasabihan na walang maliit na hindi nakapupuwing dahil siya ang pinakamaliit sa dalawampu’t dalawang opisyal na kandidata pero iniuwi niya ang korona.
Ang 23-year-old former PBB housemate ang kinatawan ng Barangay Labangon sa Queen of Cebu City Pride 2024 at pinalakpakan ng manonood ang kanyang sagot sa Question and Answer segment para sa Top 5 candidates.
Bahagi ng tanong: “The Cebu City Pride Month celebration 2024 theme is inspiring others to lead. As a transformational leader of your generation, what was the hardest decision you have ever made?”
Sagot ni Bacalla: “The hardest decision that I have made is joining here and I say it now because when I decided to join, I knew that I’m gonna be the shortest candidate but then I realized that despite the fact that I’m the shortest candidate, I’ve been an advocate for LGBT rights for so long and the reason why I joined is because the theme is inspiring others to lead.
“And if it wasn’t for the fact that I didn’t inspire myself to lead into coming here, I wouldn’t be a transformational leader and to inspiring others to lead their lives as well.
“So tonight if you feel doubtful with yourself, know that you are worthy, know that you are valued, because it’s not because of who you are. It’s because of what you can give to the community."
Labingtatlo ang edad ni Bacalla nang sumali ito sa PBB 737 noong 2015 at siya ang binansagang "Kid Sunshine ng Cebu" pero hindi niya hinangad na magkaroon ng showbiz career dahil bukod sa nakatuon ang kanyang atensyon sa pag-aaral, kulang na kulang noon ang suporta para sa mga miyembro ng LGBTQ community.
