Lumikha ng ingay sa Hofer Filmtage sa Germany ang Deine Farbe (Your Color), ang indie movie ng New York-based Filipino director na si Maria Diane Ventura.
Ang Hofer Filmtage ang isa sa mga importanteng film festivals sa Germany.
Isang tagumpay para kay Diane na makasali sa naturang festival ang Deine Farbe na nagkaroon ng sold-out premiere.
Tungkol sa magkaibigang sina Karl (Jannik Schumann) at Albert (Nyamandi Adrian) na nakaranas ng mga pagsubok nang magpunta sila sa isang foreign land ang kuwento ng Deine Farbe.
Pahayag ni Diane tungkol sa kanyang pelikula, “Finding myself in yet another country with a culture very different from my own made me realize that we all are Albert and Karl somehow.
“At one point in our lives, we’ve all been lost, rebellious, and desperate for meaning and purpose.
"None of us have gone through life without suffering or mistakes."
Hinangaan ang matapang at straightforward na direksiyon ni Ventura sa pelikula na nagpakita ng pagpapahalaga sa mental health, self-perception, self-preservation at, higit sa lahat, sa relasyon ng magkaibigan.
“I dream of making films in places whose cultures differ from my own.
"Ultimately, I want to prove that despite our fundamental differences, emotional experiences are universal.
“I want my work to be a testament to my belief that barriers are illusory and unity is attainable if we approach every idea and disparity with tolerance and acceptance,” sabi ni Diane.
Nagbigay rin ng opinyon si Diane tungkol sa social media dahil bahagi ito ng kuwento ng Deine Farbe.
“Does social media really foster connection or does it just further exacerbate our detachment and disconnect?
"I don’t intend to preach. I just hope we retain the ability to self-reflect and decide the role of social media in our lives, given that it is such a powerful medium."
Matapos ang successful premiere sa Hofer Filmtage, magkakaroon ng exhibition ang Deine Farbe sa second Diorama International Film Festival & Market sa New Delhi.
Nakatakda rin ngayong 2020 ang international release ng Deine Farbe.
