Yeng Constantino is dubbed as ABS-CBN’s Pop Rock Princess but she assures that her BY Request concert with Bamboo Mañalac will feature a variety of music.

In a recent interview with the 24-year-old music artist, she promised concertgoers, “Makakarinig sila ng ibang genre and that’s what really exciting for me.

“Pop Rock Princess ka of the Philippines, markado ka as pop rock artist… For people to see you singing another genre is exciting for them.”

Aside from offering various musical genres, Yeng pointed out that audiences can also look forward to the effects that will be used during their August 17 concert.

“Grabe ‘yong technology na gagamitin namin sa concert,” Yeng said excitedly.

“Alam n’yo ‘yong mga video effects sa Grammys?

“Pag kumakanta ka ‘tapos sumasabay ‘yong video. Hindi lang siya basta LED lights.”

The young singer-composer reveals that she and Bamboo have already gathered the songs for their upcoming concert and that rehearsals will start soon.

Yeng is hoping to match the high energy level that Bamboo is known for in his performances.

“‘Yon nga ang hinahangaan ko sa kanya, bigay-todo talaga,” Yeng said about the coach of The Voice of the Philippines.

“Kaya nga parang nasa rehearsal studio lang, pero akala mo nasa stage na.

“‘Yon din ang gusto kong makuha from him, ma-impart niya sa akin ‘yon as a performer.

“Parang kailangang laging maibigay ‘yong best ko kahit rehearsal pa lang para nasasanay na rin.”

With less than a month before the concert, Yeng admitted, “Mas kabado ako ngayon kasi ang laki ng Araneta, e.”

However, as much as possible, Yeng tries not to worry about the number of people who will come to see her and Bamboo perform.

She says, “I leave that to my management and I just trust God na sobrang magwo-work ito and everything is okay.”
