PRESS STATEMENT FROM Q CHANNEL 11:
"American Idol, the biggest, most influential talent show in the world returned with a big bang on Q Channel 11 last week.
"The Season 10 premiere of Idol, hosted by Ryan Seacrest, introduced the new lineup of judges: recording superstars Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler, frontman of rock band Aerosmith, joining resident judge Randy Jackson.
"Audition episodes kicked off with the New York/New Jersey stops, followed by New Orleans. There were quite a number of 15-year-olds—15 is the youngest age allowed for this season's auditions—and one of them is Jacee Badeaux who auditioned in New Orleans. The Idol hopeful, who had a Justin Bieber-like haircut, wowed the judges with his version of Otis Redding's "Sittin on the Dock of the Bay."
"Also memorable were Victoria Huggins, the tirelessly cheerful, love-her-or-hate-her 16-year-old who sang "Midnight Train to Georgia," and Orlando Travis, who sang "Eleanor Rigby."
"This week, the audition episodes will feature the stop in Milwaukee. Milwaukee is home to past season Idol contestants Danny Gokey, Matt Giraud, and where last season's winner Lee DeWyze, runner-up Crystal Bowersox, and Season 7 winner David Cook auditioned.
"What surprises await the viewers and the judges this week? Get ready for some wacky scenes, heartwarming moments and more red-hot talent.
"The best is yet to come. Don't miss the biggest talent show in the world! American Idol, airs every Thursday and Friday (with same day replays) only on Q Channel 11."
