Diether Ocampo and Kris Aquino topbill the horror movie Dalaw, which is co-produced by Star Cinema and CineMedia. Diether and Kris play a couple who begin experiencing supernatural incidents after they both tie the knot.

For the first time in her colorful career, Kris Aquino tries co-producing for the movie Dalaw. This horror film is one of the eight official entries to the 36th Metro Manila Film Festival. The movie is scheduled to open on Christmas Day, December 25, 2010.

Kris was impressed by the way Dondon Santos helmed this horror film co-produced by Star Cinema and CineMedia.

"Direk Dondon is a very technical director. His shots were beautiful. He's LA-educated, magaling siya sa action, magaling siya sa realism at magaling siya sa pag-build-up ng suspense.

"Pero 'yong story, If I'm not mistaken, lima o anim ang nag-collaborate. You know that Star Cinema puts out anything, ang daming pinagdaanan na research, ang daming hinimay ng creative, ultimo kulay ng suot na damit at 'yong sheen at 'yong sepia at 'yong feel ng lugar, dumaan sa masusing kamay nila talaga," said the ABS-CBN actress.

The suspense thriller Dalaw also stars Karylle, Empress, Alessandra de Rossi, Ina Feleo, Susan Africa, Maliksi Morales and Gina Pareño.

Rosario star Jennylyn Mercado said in a previous interview that she feels embarassed to compete with Kris in the Best Actress category of the MMFF. When asked to give her comment, Kris declared: "Okay na sa akin na siya ang manalo, basta maka-P150 million ako!"

She continued: "Feng Shui was in the P140 million range, and nasa P210 million range ang Sukob. Sana nandun ang Dalaw sa P150 to P170 million range."

Since the film's title is Dalaw, Kris revealed the one person that she would want to visit her.

"Kung meron akong gustong dumalaw sa akin, it would be my mom [Cory Aquino]. More than anybody else and more than anything else.

"I say this with all honesty, everybody who was a part of my past is really a part of the past. And I'm really looking forward to the future."

When it comes to her title as the "Horror Queen," Kris said, "Nung nag-du-dub ako for the film, sinabi nila wala raw makatili at makasigaw at maka-sustain na kagaya ko. I think that's why I'm the queen: it's the scream.

"Nobody else raw can duplicate that scream."

Kris then said matter-of-factly: "That scream has brought more than P350 million to Star Cinema. With the three movies [Feng Shui, Sukob and Dalaw], I'm really praying na maging P500 million.

The ABS-CBN actress said that she doesn't get scared easily but she is fearful of one incident:

"Losing my ate, this is Ballsy, kasi she's like our second mom. She's 16 years older than me. I was asking my sisters to sign papers to become a trust executor for my son in case something should happen to me.

"Then my sister pointed out, it should be her oldest son then sabi niya, 'Krissy naman, I'm so much older than you. For sure, I'll go ahead of you.'

"Dun ako natakot na feeling ko, if we lose our ate...I think all of us--ako, si Pinky, Viel, at si Noy--will all say the same thing: It will be as bad as losing our mom."

SYNOPSIS. Kris Aquino plays Stella, a woman who remarries for the sake of her son (played by Maliksi Morales).
