Anthony Taberna (in photo) says he looks up to his colleague Julius Babao. "Iba ho kasi ang work ethic ng tao na 'yon, e. Saka ang galing ng time management niya. Nakaka-inggit ang disiplina. Saka, ibang klase rin siya sa pamilya. Kahit na sikat na, kahit kailan mo imbitahin, nandiyan. Bihira 'yon, e," he said.

Broadcast journalist Anthony Taberna will have his own show on Studio 23 starting this Monday, October 4. The iBA-BALITA host will dissect and analyze the hottest issues in the country today with the help of ABS-CBN News and DZMM correspondents and resource persons. This new show will air weeknights at 9 p.m. on the Kabarkada Network.

In the presscon for Studio 23 yesterday, September 30, at 9501 Restaurant in ELJ Center, Quezon City, Anthony admitted that even he is impressed by iBA-BALITA.

"Palagay ko, kakabahan yung ibang may current affairs show dito, e," he said proudly. "Alam niyo, nung kino-conceptualize pa lang nila, tapos nag-dry run po kami, ako mismo na-impress dun sa, una sa technology, and then sa content."

The 35-year-old broadcaster said the new show's format is similar to his radio program Dos Por Dos and his "Punto por Punto" segment in Umagang Kay Ganda, which he will still be hosting.

Ito, first time ito actually sa Philippine television," he said.

Anthony said that iBA-BALITA will cater to young viewers. It will help them stay aware and make sense of the latest issues around them, he added.
