Kids excitedly chatted with their friends as they ate ice
cream, cupcakes, fish sticks and pasta last Saturday, August 15, at the lobby
of Greenbelt 3 in Makati City. Photo booths were also located at the venue
where children could have their candid pics taken solo or with their barkada.
The youngsters were eagerly waiting for the screening of Walt Disney Pictures
and Pixar Animation Studios' comedy-fantasy film Up, which had its
Philippine premiere at the newly opened 3D
digital cinema in Greenbelt 3.
PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) was able to spot Paolo Paraiso bonding
with his four-year-old son Tomas, who was busy eating ice cream at that time.
Paolo said with a chuckle, "Napanood niya ako sa TV at sabi
niya sa akin, "Daddy, mukha kang artista.'" The actor pointed out that his son
doesn't seem to have an inclination for showbiz just yet.
Mylene Dizon, the mother of Tomas, also arrived at the screening even though
she just arrived from Davao that day. Angelu de Leon also made it a point to
attend the screening to be with Nicole, her child with Joko Diaz. Maritoni
Fernandez also brought along her kids to the screening.
PEP was able to talk with Makisig Morales at the event and he revealed that Utoy,
his ABS-CBN show with Dolphy, will be shown on television by 2010.
Goin' Bulilit stars such as Kiray and Kathryn Bernardo couldn't contain
their excitement for the screening of the animated film.
After the screening, PEP spotted Paolo Bediones with the castaways of Survivor Philippines: Palau but the TV host forbade them from talking with the press.
Up tells the uplifting tale of 78-year old balloon salesman Carl Fredricksen who finally fulfills his lifelong dream of a great adventure when he ties thousands of balloons to his house and flies away to the wilds of South America. But the biggest surprise came from an overly optimistic 8-year old wilderness explorer named Russell. Together, they embarked on a hilarious, emotional and wildly imaginative adventure.
