After airing for seven months, the "Betty-ful" teleserye I Love Betty La Fea will show its final episodes on ABS-CBN. The Filipino adaptation of Colombian soap opera Yo soy Betty, la fea (I am Betty, the ugly one) started airing on the Kapamilya Network last September 8, 2008.
An unattractive but intelligent woman named Betty (Bea) is ridiculed most of her life for her geeky looks.
In the local version, she is hired as one of the secretaries of Armando (John Lloyd Cruz), the president of the Eco Moda advertising company. Betty's pretty officemates often make fun of her for her lack of fashion sense. Betty falls in love with the handsome president of the company but problems arise between them and they break up. She is then attracted to a blind man named Aldo (played by Jericho Rosales) but Betty chooses Armando.
The two become engaged but the wedding of Betty (Bea Alonzo) and Armando (John Lloyd Cruz) was cut off because of unexpected events. This time, no one can put a stop to their union as the show comes to an end. Plus, the key to the "unsolved case" regarding the death of Armando's mom will finally be revealed.
Don't miss the last few episodes of the Philippine version of I Love Betty La Fea, weeknights after May Bukas Pa on ABS-CBN.
