It's a show that gives a voice to the growing Filipino diaspora.
The ABS-CBN News Channel (ANC) is set to launch Crossing Borders, a 30-minute interactive talk show that will look into the issues of today's global Pinoys starting Thursday (April 16).
Jobs, finances, housing, and immigration are just some of the key concerns that will be tackled in the program, which will be anchored by immigration lawyer Atty. Mike Templo.
Templo will be joined by a panel of experts in giving advice on concerns such as getting a VISA, finding a job abroad, and handling homesickness. The program will also feature inspiring stories of Filipinos who have made it overseas. Viewers may send in their questions and stories through www.crossingborderstv.multiply.com.
A global Pinoy himself, the 32-year-old Templo entered the United States with only a student visa and a dream to establish a career as an attorney. The University of the Philippines Philosophy graduate had to juggle school with work, relying on his income and study grants to fund his education at the Touro Law School in Long Island, New York.
Once he became a member of the New York State Bar, he dedicated his knowledge and skills to help countless Filipinos overcome their immigration problems, some of which he experienced himself. Through the ANC show Crossing Borders, he hopes to help even more of his countrymen.
This interactive talk show is part of ANC's new time block featuring five original and exciting ANC programs on the 10:30 pm timeslot: Manolo Quezon's The Explainer: Dialogues every Monday, Mo Twister's controversial commentary program IMO every Tuesday," Bam Aquino's enterprising show Start Up every Wednesday, Crossing Borders every Thursday, and critics' favorite documentary program Storyline every Friday.
ANC continues to strengthen its programming with fascinating and empowering TV programs to complement its hard-hitting news coverage and analysis. With Templo at its helm, Crossing Borders is expected to win the hearts of Filipinos here and abroad.
Catch Crossing Borders with Atty. Mike Templo this Thursday, April 16, at 10:30 pm on ANC (Skycable channel 27).
