Apart from the ladies of BINI, another Filipina also made waves at Coachella 2026 as Sophia Laforteza took the stage with her global girl group KATSEYE.
Coachella Music Festival happened on April 11, 2026 (PHT), in Indio, California, bringing together artists and fans from around the world for one of music’s biggest events.
KATSEYE delivered its debut performance on the festival’s Sahara Stage, marking a milestone not only for the group but also for Filipinos watching around the world.
Sophia was visibly moved by the support of the crowd and the sight of Filipino flags being waved.
During her mini speech in the middle of the group's set, Sophia paused to acknowledge fellow Filipinos in attendance.
"I’m overwhelmed with emotion" she said.
"It’s so beautiful. I see some people raising the Filipino flag here in Coachella. You guys are making our dreams come true."

KATSEYE'S COACHELLA DEBUT
KATSEYE—led by Sophia Laforteza alongside Lara Rajagopalan, Daniela Andrea Avanzini, Megan Skiendiel, and Yoonchae Jeung—delivered a high-octane, emotionally charged set, making their Coachella debut at the Sahara Stage truly memorable.
From the opening seconds to their explosive finale, the four ladies showcased their versatility, stage presence, and growing global impact.
The set kicked off in powerful fashion with the first-ever live performance of “Pinky Up,” immediately grabbing the crowd’s attention.

Riding that momentum, the group followed through with its debut track “Debut,” keeping the energy high and the audience fully engaged.
Shifting gears, KATSEYE briefly slowed things down with “Mean Girls,” allowing their vocals and storytelling to shine.
The mood was heightened again as the song flowed straight into the dance-pop track “Touch,” bringing the crowd back to their feet.

The unexpected collaboration electrified the stage and drew massive cheers from the audience.
As the trio exited, Sophia remarked: “That was so much fun, you guys are amazing!”
The performance continued with back-to-back energetic numbers for “Gameboy” and “Internet Girl."
Even the members' dance break during “Gabriela” earned loud reactions from festivalgoers.

Sophia shone during “My Way,” delivering a vocal moment that left the crowd visibly impressed. Indeed, she lived up to the “Filipino vocal chakra.”
As the set neared its end, KATSEYE performed “M.I.A.” before closing the show on a high note with "Gnarly.”
KATSEYE is set to return to Coachella for another performance on the festival’s second weekend on April 17, 2026 (April 18, Philippine time).
