Kanya-kanyang entry ng witty remarks and comments ang netizens sa maraming social media platforms kasunod ng inilabas na resulta para sa 2026 Physicians Licensure Exam.
Sa listahan ng topnotchers kasi, ang nakalagay sa Top 1 ay (Name Withheld), kunsaan kadalasan ay pangalan, paaralan, at rating ang nakasulat.
Dahil hindi pinangalanan ang Top 1, ilang netizens ang humirit ng usual disclaimer na binibigkas sa announcement ng winner sa competitions.
Saad sa isang comment: “If for any reason the winner is unable to fulfill her duties, the first runner-up will take her place.”
Ang suggestion ng isang netizen ay pang-beauty pageant. Dahil hindi tinukoy ang Top 1, pipili na lang ng replacement mula sa ibang examinees.

Ang ibang netizens, trinatong tunay na pangalan ang "Name Withheld."

Theories about the topnotcher’s name being withheld
May iba naman netizens na mas seryoso ang sagot.
Hinala nila, nakakuha ng perfect score or almost perfect score ang Top 1 at kailangan munang i-validate ito ng PRC.
May iba naman na nagsuspetsang baka may cheating na naganap kaya isasailalim muna sa imbestigasyon ang nanguna sa topnotchers' list.
May teorya pang baka under investigation ang Top 1 o baka nagkaroon ng iregularidad.
Pero ano nga ba ang kahulugan ng Name Withheld kapag ito ang inilagay sa halip na pangalan ng topnotcher?

REASON BEHIND "NAME WITHHELD"
Sa inilabas na advisory ng PRC sa website nito hinggil sa March 2026 Physicians Licensure Examination results nitong April 8, 2026, may ilang detalye na binigyang-linaw.
Binanggit ditong 1,954 ang pumasa sa board exam mula sa 2,781 examinees.
Sinabi ring bukod sa topnotcher na na-withhold ang pangalan para sa verification, lima pang examinees ang na-withhold din ang kanilang mga pangalan.
Ang pahayag ng PRC: “The results of examination with respect to five (5) examinees were withheld pending final determination of their liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examinations; and one (1) was withheld for further verification.”
Ang ruling ay mababasa sa PRC Resolution No. 2010-547 o Amended Guidelines on the Release and Publication of the Results of Top-Ranked Examinees in the Board Licensure Examinations.
Sa ikaapat na guideline, ginagamit ang Name Withheld kapag may pending investigation.
Ayon sa clause (published as is): “The name of a topnotcher whose examination papers may be cancelled due to his/ her possible violation of the Instruction to Examinees shall not be included in the ranking to be released.
"However, opposite his/her supposed rank shall bear the corresponding notation ‘Name Withheld Pending Investigation.’
“Should his/her examination papers be upheld, his/her name shall be inserted in the Table of Results, and an appropriate amendment of the release shall be made accordingly.”
Ang Examination Measures ay mababasa naman sa PRC Memorandum Order 057.
Nakasaad dito na kapag ang isang examinee ay inireklamo dahil sa iregularidad, maaaring i-withhold muna ang kanyang exam results, oath-taking, at registration.
At kung napatunayang nagkasala ang examinee, tulad ng pandaraya, puwedeng ikansela ng komisyon ang resulta ng exam nito, ang pagbibigay sa lisensiya, pati ang pagkuha pa ng mga susunod pang board exams.
