Ayon sa natanggap na mensahe ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal), ang simula ng lamay ay bukas, November 21, hanggang November 22: "Our dear Atty. Sandy Olaso-Coronel’s wake will be held from November 21 to 22, at 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., at the San Francisco Chapel of the Santuario de San Antonio Parish Church, Forbes Park, Makati City."
Hiling ng pamilya sa mga kaanak at kaibigang makikiramay na magsuot ng puti.
Hindi tinukoy ang rason ng pagpanaw ng kilalang abugada.

Kabilang sa mga delikadong legal cases na hinawakan si Atty. Sandy ay ang prosecution at conviction ng kidnap-for-ransom syndicates ng higit na animnapung (60) kriminal.
Isang dalubhasa sa media law, siya ang nagtanggol noong 2005 kay Jo-Ann Maglipon, noo'y editor-in-chief ng YES! Magazine, sa highly publicized civil suit ni Claudine Barretto laban sa defunct Hi! magazine, na sister publication ng YES! Matapos ng dalawang taon, winidraw ni Claudine and kaso. Si Jo-Ann ang siyang kasalukuyang editor-in-chief ng PEP.
Samantala, nakasaad sa University of the Philippines College of Law website ang legal appearances ni Atty. Sandy sa national stage. Ilan sa mga ito ang sumusunod:
“Effectively argued before Congress, sitting as the National Board of Canvassers, for the proclamation of a winning Vice-Presidential candidate;
“Assisted in the victorious prosecution of the human rights complaints of an accused against the government of the Republic of the Philippines before the United Nations Committee on Human Rights;
“Assisted the prosecution panel in an impeachment case.”

Bukod sa kanyang propesyon bilang lawyer, isa siyang iginagalang na educator.
Naging lecturer siya sa UP Law Center mula pa 2013.
Naging senior lecturer siya sa UP College of Law sa UP Diliman mula noong 2010.
Nagturo siya ng Criminal Law & Criminal Procedure at naging chairperson sa Remedial Law Cluster ng professors.
Naging legal adviser din siya ng College Editors Guild of the Philippines-League of Editors of the Philippines noong 2012 at 2023, nang naglabas ang grupo ng mga librong pulitikal: Not On Our Watch. Martial Law Really Happened. We Were There. (self-published); at ang SERVE—The People. The Economy. Government. Children. Environment. Press Freedom. Academe. A Supreme Being. Women. The Country. (published by Ateneo University Press).
Ang editor ng dalawang librong nabanggit ay ang matagal nang kliyente ni Atty. Coronel, si Jo-Ann Maglipon.
Naging professor si Atty. Coronel sa St. Paul College, Quezon City, mula 1997-1999.
Nagsilbi rin siyang co-host ng Tatak Pilipino, ang 1994 cultural magazine show ng ABS-CBN.
May iniwang dalawang libro si Atty Sandy: ang May It Please the Court: Litigation Tips, na naging bestseller, dahilan paran sundan niya ito ng May It Please the Court 2: Tips for Law Enforcement.
Saad pa ng University of the Philippines website: Naging advocacy ni Atty. Sandy ang pagbabahagi ng kanyang kaalaman sa "more than 25 years of litigation practice and working with prosecutors from the Department of Justice and officers from the different law enforcement agencies."

Si Atty. Sandy ay nagtapos ng kursong Bachelor of Arts in Communication, cum laude, sa UP Diliman noong 1990.
Sa prestisyosong state university din siya nagtapos ng Bachelor of Laws noong 1994.
Noong 2019, natapos naman niya ang Master of Laws sa Communications Law, with merit and distinction, sa Queen Mary University sa London.
Naulila niya ang asawang si Philippine National Police Retired Major General Joel Napoleon "Jigs" Coronel, na na-appoint bilang first Deputy Marshals of the Office of the Judiciary Marshals (OJM) nitong June 2025.
Mayroon silang apat na anak.
