Inilabas ng Quezon City Police District (QCPD) ang resulta ng isinigawa nilang imbestigasyon sa pagkamatay ng modelong si Ivan Cezar Ronquillo.

Natagpuang "unresponsive" si Ronquillo sa loob ng kanyang tirahan sa Barangay Apolonio Samson, Quezon City, nitong Miyerkules ng umaga, Nobyembre 19, 2025.

Si Ronquillo ang kasintahan ng freelance model na si Gina Lima, na binawian naman ng buhay dahil sa cardiorespiratory distress noong Nobyembre 16.

Pinaniniwalaang nagkaroon ng depresyon si Ronquillo, at minabuting tapusin ang sariling buhay dahil sa online bashing at maling paratang na binugbog niya si Lima kaya binawian ito ng buhay.

POLICE REPORT ON IVAN CEZAR RONQUILLO'S DEATH

Ito ang kabuuan ng impormasyong isiniwalat ng QCPD sa publiko tungkol sa malagim na insidente na nangyari nitong Miyerkules ng umaga:

“The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) responded early this morning to a reported sudden death of alias 'Ivan,' 24 years old, and a resident of Brgy. Apolonio Samson, who was found unresponsive at 7:10 AM today.

“According to initial reports, a tenant of the apartment building informed the victim’s father upon seeing an individual hanging from the metal stairs located on the third floor. The father immediately checked and confirmed that it was his son.

"They then cut the hose used as ligature and sought assistance from Brgy. Apolonio Samson officials, who transported the victim to the Quezon City General Hospital.

"Despite efforts to revive him, the attending physician declared him dead on arrival at 7:20 AM.

"A cursory examination showed no external injuries other than the ligature mark on his neck.

“Prior to the incident, relatives stated that the victim had been experiencing emotional distress following the sudden passing of his girlfriend the previous day.”

Nakasaad din sa pahayag ng QCPD na boluntaryong gumawa ng handwritten waiver ang ama ni Ronquillo na patunay na winakasan ng kanyang anak ang sariling buhay.

“Subsequently, the victim’s father voluntarily submitted a handwritten waiver expressing the family’s belief that the incident was a case of suicide and stating that they no longer wished to pursue further investigation.

“Nonetheless, the QCPD will continue conducting standard follow-up procedures to ensure proper and complete documentation.”

SUSPECTED DEPRESSION

Ipinaabot ng QCPD, sa pamamagitan ni Acting District Director Randy Glenn Silvio, ang pakikiramay sa mga naulila ni Ronquillo.

“The Quezon City Police District extends its deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of the victim during this difficult time.

"We understand the grief they are experiencing, and we assure them that the QCPD remains committed in handling the case with utmost sensitivity, professionalism, and respect.

"Our doors remain open should the family need further assistance,” mensahe ng pakikiramay ng mga tauhan ng QCPD.
