Ipinagtapat ni Claudine Barretto na nagkaroon sila ng malaking away ng panganay na kapatid na si Mito Barretto ilang buwan bago pumanaw ang huli.

Nangyari raw ang away nina Claudine at Mito noong June 2025, o tatlong buwan bago pumanaw ang kuya ng aktres.
Ayon kay Claudine, nasaktan siya sa masasakit na salitang sinabi ng kapatid sa kanya kaya sinagut-sagot din niya ito.
Dumating daw sa puntong nagpadala pa ng demand letter ang abogado ng aktres kay Mito.
Lahad ni Claudine sa kanyang Instagram post (published as is): "Early this June, my brother & I had a fight.
"He said painful words that hurt me & I retaliated with hurting words & a demand letter.
"U can judge me later."
Muntik na raw umabot ng korte ang kanilang away. Mabuti na lamang at namagitan sa kanila ang pamangkin niyang si Mark Barretto.
Ani Claudine: "A day before filing, my nephew Mark intervened.
"For an Alpha male with such strong personality he got on the line & said, 'Dine, I'm so so very sorry. The Devil is trying to destroy us.'
"All my life, if there was that one person who's approval I so wanted was his.
"We both cried while Mark, Mito & I where praying for healing."

CLAUDINE SAYS SORRY TO MITO AGAIN
Hindi raw natigil doon ang naging ugnayan nilang magkapatid.
Nagpatuloy pa rin daw ang palitan nila ng mensahe sa pamamagitan ng text messaging.
Saad ni Claudine: "That wasn't the last. For the next 3 weeks, he would text me, 'Dine, I'm so sorry again and I'm proud of u, life is so short,' he wrote making sure I would forget & forgive him even if in all fiber of my being I already did.
"We talked again 2x then yesterday happened. I'm just saying while our loved ones are here, Pls. APOLOGIZE, FORGIVE GENUINELY."
Ayon pa kay Claudine, hindi man normal ang tingin ng iba sa kanilang pamilya, nagsasabihan naman daw sila ng kanilang nararamdaman.
Muli rin naman siyang humingi ng patawad sa kapatid.
Pagtatapos ni Claudine: "Our family may not be normal but we say I luv u a lot so please if u luv or if anyone asks for our forgiveness, let's forgive & hug them as tight as we can bcoz tomorrow we might not be here anymore.
"Mito, I'm so so sorry again. I swear to take care of Connie, Mark & John especially our apos.
"It was a privilege to have had u as my kuya. Forgive me again & I luv u so much"
