Trigger Warning: Mention of rape
Nanindigan ang Eraserheads lead guitarist na si Marcus Adoro na inosente siya sa alegasyon ng sexual abuse.
Noong March 30, 2025, isang netizen ang nag-post sa Reddit para ibunyag na pinagsamantalahan daw siya ni Marcus noong siya ay high school pa lamang.
Ayon sa nag-aakusa, gustuhin man daw niyang kalimutan ang lahat ng trauma, hindi niya maatim na makita ang mga larawan ni Marcus sa social media.
Saad ng netizen: "Marcus Adoro raped me when I was in high school and now I have to see his face all over the news and social media because of the Eraserheads reunion.
"F*ck this guy for telling me masuwerte ako na hindi niya na all-the-way dahil lang nagpupumiglas ako.
"Every time I see his face, I fall into despair because of how unfair it is that people can forgive and forget so easily."
Alegasyon pa nito, hindi lang siya ang pinagsamantalahan ni Marcus.
Marami raw silang babaeng magpapatunay kung paano sila ni-rape ng kilalang gitarista.
Pahayag nito: "He is a known and recorded abuser of women. He beat Barbara Ruaro. He abused his own child — going as far as telling Syd that she will be raped.
"He raped me and countless other women — tried to rape one acquaintance of mine, as well."
Si "Barbara Ruaro" ang indie film actress at dating kasintahan ni Marcus na nagsampa ng reklamong pang-aabuso at pananakit laban sa musikero noong 2019.

Maging ang sariling anak ni Marcus na si Syd Hartha ay nagsiwalat din ng pang-aabuso raw sa kanya ng ama noong nasa poder pa siya nito.

Dahil sa paglantad ng panibagong biktima umano ni Marcus, nagdesisyon ang Eraserheads frontman na si Ely Buendia na pansamantalang tanggalin si Marcus sa banda habang inaayos nito ang kinasasangkutang isyu.
Sa pahayag na inilabas ni Ely noong April 6, sinabi niyang hindi muna makakasama si Marcus sa upcoming concert at projects nila.

Marcus set to perform with Eraserheads amid controversy
Hanggang sa noong May 31, ikinagulat ng netizens ang anunsiyo ng producer ng isa sa lalahukang concert ng Eraserheads sa October 18 ngayong taon, ang Electric Fun Music Festival, na kasama na si Marcus ng banda.
Nakasaad sa statement ng prodyuser na ilang beses pinabulaanan sa kanila ni Marcus ang mga ibinibintang sa kanya.
Ito raw ang dahilan kung bakit nila pinahintulutan ang gitaristang magpatuloy nang mag-perform.
Mababasa sa pahayag ng concert producer: "Following our initial statement, Marcus Adoro has informed us that he is actively and legally addressing the baseless and false allegations that recently circulated online.
"Mr. Adoro maintains his innocence and has presented the steps he has taken to assert his innocence through the appropriate legal channels."
Tiniyak din ng legal counsel ni Marcus na ang partisipasyon nito sa festival "will not hinder or delay their ongoing efforts to seek a fair and lawful resolution."
Saad nila— "As producers, we want to make our position clear: We do not condone abuse in any form. At the same time, we firmly reject the culture of trial by social media. Allegations must be heard, but the truth must be proven, not assumed.
"We stand for due process, fairness, and the fundamental right of every individual to address accusations in a lawful and just manner.
"The Electric Fun Music Festival is moving forward and we are doing so with clarity, integrity, and our full commitment to the music and the community that brought us all together."
Habang isinusulat ang artikulong ito ay wala pang direktang pahayag si Marcus, maging ang kinabibilangan nitong banda, tungkol sa naging desisyong ibalik siya sa Eraserheads.
