"Good for all the talents, good for the producers, and good for both ABS-CBN and GMA because they can help each other.
“And, you know, they can teach each other what the other one doesn’t know.
“So I’m sure meron naman kasi silang kanya-kanyang specialty, e, expertise.
"So I hope that it continues and that we can still work with both later on."
Matatandaang nagsimula ito taong 2023 sa drama series na Unbreak My Heart.
Nakasama rito muli ni Richard ang dating leading lady sa ABS-CBN na si Jodi Sta. Maria.
December 2020 noong lisanin ng aktor ang ABS-CBN at pumirma sa Sparkle GMA Artist Center.

“So nagkaroon din ng Showtime sa GMA na rin, so hindi na malayo na magko-collab talaga sila.”

RICHARD YAP: NO TO POLITICS FOR NOW
Noong 2019 at 2022 elections ay nabigo si Richard na makapuwesto bilang congressman sa unang distrito ng Cebu.
At dahil nalalapit na ang eleksiyon sa May 12, 2025, na-bring up ang usaping pultika.
“Masyadong magulo and mahirap actually, so hindi na muna…
“I mean, well, as much as possible, parang ayoko, there are a lot of offers, pero inaano ko muna what’s best for me.
“Kasi pag inisip mo yung mga tao, pero hindi ka naman talaga iniisip din, mahirap iyan, so huwag na muna.”
Masaya na raw siya sa buhay-showbiz.
"Yeah, showbiz and negosyo na lang muna tayo."
Nakapanayam ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) si Richard sa Ilang-Ilang Café sa Manila Hotel nitong March 25, 2025, sa grand mediacon ng Fatherland, na pinagbibidahan nina Allen Dizon at Iñigo Pascual.
Kasama rin sa cast sina Cherry Pie Picache, Mercedes Cabral, Ara Davao, Jeric Gonzales, Kazel Kinouchi, Rico Barrera, Abed Green, Jim Pebanco, at Angel Aquino.
Ito ay mula sa produksiyon ng BenTria Productions ni Benjamin Austria at Heaven’s Best Entertainment ng line producer na si Dennis Evangelista.
Ipapalabas sa mga sinehan ang Fatherland simula April 19 ang pelikulang mula sa direksiyon ni Joel C. Lamangan.
