Showing in theaters this Wednesday, April 2, 2025, Locked tells the story of a small-time thief Eddie (Bill), who gets a dose of his own medicine as he gets locked inside a luxury SUV that he was supposed to steal.
The SUV turns out to be a customized vehicle equipped with a topnotch security system that can be controlled by its owner William (Anthony), a relentless vigilante who’s out to show Eddie the “consequences” of his thievery.
With 2M views on YouTube at press time, the first minute of the trailer gets netizens hooked with the fast-paced exposition of how Eddie gets himself trapped inside the SUV and the scary voice of William laying out what Eddie will have to face as punishment.
Eddie’s frustration and eventual terror at William’s evil machinations easily translate to viewers, especially in that scene in the trailer where the SUV starts to drive on its own, not caring if it runs over people, including a little girl on a street.
Based on the comments section, seeing Bill’s face has netizens convinced to watch the full movie in theaters.

BILL SKARSGARD AND ANTHONY HOPKINS
Many moviegoers remember him as Pennywise The Dancing Clown and Count Orlok in the horror films It (2017) and Nosterafu (2024), respectively.
That Bill teams up with multiawarded actor Anthony Hopkins make Locked, netizens say, a must-watch this summer.
Known for his award-winning role as a ruthless serial killer, Hannibal Lecter, in the 1991 movie Silence of The Lambs, Anthony is about to showcase a terrifying performance in this movie.
Locked director David Yarovesky, known for his movies Brightburn (2019) and Nightbooks (2021), remains in awe of being able to work with Bill and Anthony together in Locked.
“They are two of the greatest living actors, each having brought to life some of the most iconic villains of all time,” says David.
He adds, “Together, they are electric!”
