Comeback film ni Iza Calzado sa GMA Pictures ang official entry nito sa 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival na Green Bones.
Sa naganap na media conference para sa Green Bones last December 5, nagpasalamat si Iza dahil sa special participation niya sa pelikulang may magandang mensahe para sa lahat ngayong Pasko.
Para kay Iza, magandang comeback movie daw niya ito sa GMA Pictures.
“Hindi ko siya na-realize. Sabi ni Ms. Nessa [Valdellon, GMA Pictures Executive Vice President and GMA Public Affairs First Vice President], 'Is this your comeback project with GMA?'
"Hindi ko siya na-realize because when I read the script, I read it like a script of any other.
"When I said yes to it, I said yes because it was a good script, regardless of who was producing it.
"So yes, ito po pala ang aking pagbabalik sa aking GMA.
"Siyempre pamilya ko po ito ng 10 taon at alam ni Ms. Annette [Gozon-Valdez, GMA Network Senior Vice President for Programming, Talent Management, Worldwide, and Support Group, and President of GMA Films] na mahal na mahal ko sila."
Ilan sa mga nagawang pelikula ni Iza noong Kapuso pa siya with GMA Pictures ay Mulawin: The Movie (2005), Moments of Love (2006), Ouija (2007), Batanes: Sa Dulo Ng Walang Hanggan (2007) and One True Love (2008).
Ikinatuwa rin ni Iza na muli niyang makakatrabaho ang mga kasabayan niya sa GMA-7 tulad ni Alessandra de Rossi na naging co-star niya sa 2002 teleserye na Kung Mawawala Ka; Dennis Trillo na nakatrabaho niya sa 2005 telefantasya na Etheria: Ang Ikalimang Kaharian Ng Encantadia; at Wendell Ramos na naging leading man niya sa 2009 teleserye na Kaya Kong Abutin Ang Langit.
“It felt so familiar but also new. Parang it brought me back to my twenties!
"Alam mo yun, sila pa rin yung nakikita ko. I looked at them and I thought to myself, 'Wow, we've been through so much and we're still here. Thank you, Lord,'" sey ni Iza.
Nagkaroon din ng pagkakataon si Iza na makilala ang mga bagong Kapuso stars na kasama rin sa Green Bones tulad nila Sofia Pablo, Pauline Mendoza at Sienna Stevens.
"It's so nice to work with everybody. I wish I had more scenes with them, but I didn't really have as many. Sana makatrabaho ko sila sa mga future projects nila," pahayag niya.
Ang Green Bones ang pang-12th na MMFF movie na nakasama si Iza. Ang iba ay Sigaw (2005), Mulawin: The Movie (2005), Shake, Rattle & Roll 8 (2006), Desperadas (2007), Desperadas 2 (2008), Ang Panday (2009), Ang Panday 2 (2011), Haunted Mansion (2015), Die Beautiful (2016), Culion (2019) at Becky and Badette (2023).
Huling nagawang teleserye sa GMA-7 ni Iza ay Beauty Queen in 2010. Gagawa na ba siya ulit ng teleserye sa Kapuso network?
Wala namang kinumpirma si Iza dahil focus daw muna siya sa anak nila ng mister niya si Ben Wintle na si Deia Amihan.

IZA REVEALS HOW MOTHERHOOD CHANGED HER LIFE FOR THE BETTER
Sa isang recent post ni Iza via Instagram, sinabi nito na malaki ang naging pagbabago sa buhay niya mula noong naging isa siyang ina.
Kung dati raw ay ang showbiz career ang kanyang inuuna, ngayon ay priority niya ang kanyang pamilya.
Post ni Iza: “I never knew how great life would be once I became a mother.
“When we did this shoot, I couldn't help but look back on my time before I became a mother-- I used to think that my life revolved around my career, but now I see that my life has bloomed into even more than that as a mother.
“I get to have shoots with my baby, making these work days more beautiful, meaningful, and precious. I can't help but wonder if, when Deia grows up, she'll love it as much as I do, or will she be more like her father who shies away from the camera. Whatever path she takes, I just pray she loves her life as much as I do.
“I love doing life with Deia! Everything is so much more colorful, more vibrant, more beautiful with her in my life. And to share these moments, to have these images with her, to me, are just so priceless.”
Wala nga raw gustong ma-miss si Iza sa paglaki ni Deia. Gusto niyang masaksihan ang bawat hakbang, bawat ngiti at ang mga salitang lalabas sa bibig nito.
Importante raw na nandoon siya sa lahat ng mga bagong gagawin ng kanyang anak. Isa raw iyon sa lalong nagpapasaya sa kanya bilang isang ina.
Post ni Iza sa Instagram: "On this day, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, I want to take a moment to celebrate Mama Mary, who has been my guiding light and the divine energy that has always had my back.
"She’s blessed me with so much, but the greatest gift of all is our daughter, Deia. She’s at that super sweet stage where she’s obsessed with anything baby-related, like this baby stroller for her doll, and it’s such a joy to see her show her appreciation for the things she loves.
"In our home, in our marriage, and in my life, Deia is our greatest blessing. Thank you, Mama Mary, for watching over us and filling my heart with gratitude every day. Motherhood is truly the greatest gift of my life."
