Agaw-atensiyon ang acceptance speech ni Piolo Pascual bilang Best Actor sa 72nd FAMAS Awards na ginanap Linggo ng gabi, May 26, 2024, sa The Manila Hotel.
Inamin ng Kapamilya actor na marami na siyang nainom bago pa man tanghaling Best Actor para sa pelikulang Mallari.
Ka-tie niya si Alfred Vargas na nanalo para sa pagganap nito sa Pieta.

PILO PASCUAL'S ACCEPTANCE SPEECH
Sina Vilma Santos at Christopher de Leon ang nag-anunsiyo sa pangalan nina Piolo at Alfred.
Sa kanyang acceptance speech, sinabi ni Piolo na mabigat masyado ang trophy ng FAMAS.
Dagdag niya, "Maraming-maraming salamat po sa FAMAS. Maraming-maraming salamat po.
"Unang-una kong pasalamatan ang Panginoong Diyos po sa karangalang ito because kung wala po ang Panginoong Diyos, wala po ako dito.
"And of course my parents, Mommy Vi, Dad Bo, they are my parents, they reared me in this business," pagtukoy ni Piolo sa dalawang veteran stars na gumanap na mga magulang niya sa 2002 film na Dekada '70.
Kasunod nito ang pag-amin ng aktor na marami na siyang nainom.
Sabi ni Piolo, "Marami po akong papasalamatan, pero marami na rin po ako nainom tonight.
"So, gusto ko lang pong magpasalamat sa Mentorque Productions, kay Bryan Diamante."
Tinawag niya sa entablado si Bryan, na managing director ng Mentorque.
VILMA SANTOS TO PIOLO PASCUAL: "LASING KA NA ANAK..."
Pagpapatuloy ni Piolo, "Gusto kong magpasalamat sa lahat ng nakasama ko sa pelikulang to.
"Marami po akong gusto pasalamatan pero... Mommy," sabi ng aktor habang nakatingin sa puwesto nina Vilma at Christopher.
Biro ni Vilma, "Lasing ka na anak, lasing ka na anak. Go ahead, anak, go."
Tugon ni Piolo, "Puwede ba ako mag-shades, Mommy?
Sinang-ayunan naman siya ng Star for All Seasons, at saka isinuot ni Piolo ang dalang shades upang matakpan marahil ang pumupungay na niyang mga mata.
Sunod na pinasalamatan ni Piolo ang bumubuo ng Mallari.
Aniya, "Gusto kong magpasalamat sa bumubuo ng malyari, sa direktor, ko si Direk Derick [Cabrido], sa PD ko, sa camera... lahat po ng bumubuo ng Mallari, pinaghirapan po namin yung pelikulang ito at lahat po ng artista, pinaghirapan po nila yung trabaho nila.
"So, maraming-maraming salamat po.
"Hindi ko po ipagkakait sa sarili ko kasi para sa pelikulang Pilipino ito.
"Maraming salamat. God bless you."
