Sagot ng kaibigan ni Richard matapos niya itong yayaing manood, "[Di] ako nanunuod ng local films sorry [grinning face with sweat emoji] no time for that."
Mababasa sa caption ni Richard (published as is): "I really did not expect anyone to say this to me. 'No time for that.'
"Grabe. Seryoso ba? As a new producer, these words really broke my heart. Ang sakit.
"But this really highlights the challenge that all we Filipino filmmakers face, because let’s be real — lahat tayo may mga kaibigan na ganun din.
"I get it, not every film will resonate with everyone, and that’s 100% fine.
"Criticism is part of it naman talaga. But dismissing all local films outright? Wag naman? Sobrang sakit talaga [broken heart emoji]."
Saad ni Richard (published as is): "Being the first Filipino romance film distributed by THE Warner Bros., many eyes globally are on us and the whole Philippine entertainment industry.
"Because what we have in 'Under Parallel Skies' goes beyond simply showcasing actors; but it also celebrates the Filipino and Asian creativity behind the cameras.
"Let’s champion not just Philippine cinema, but also Asian cinema with immense pride."

JANELLA SALVADOR REACTS TO RICHARD JUAN
Ani Janella, "People who think they are too good for local films.
"It doesn’t make you sound more sophisticated, just straight-up arrogant and condescending."

"Kumbaga, you can watch the films you want, there’s no problem with that.
"Pero, I think just saying that you have no time for Philippine cinema is too much.
"Because, first of all, if you’re from the Philippines, give Philippine cinema a chance!"
Sabi ni Janella: "I don’t think it’s a matter of us not having the talent to make great films.
"I think there’s many aspects like budgets and we’re gonna need full support talaga para makagawa rin kami ng more quality films.
"Like I said nga wala namang problem if you have preferences but give Philippine cinema a chance.
"Because there’s so many wonderful films na kahit low budget is napakaganda nung pagkakagawa."
