Carl Guevarra, the lead vocalist and keyboardist of The Juans, is the celebrity searcher in It's Showtime's "EXpecially For You" segment on Saturday, April 13, 2024.
Joining Carl is the band's bassist and his good friend Chael Adriano.
Cark kicked off the segment by singing The Juans' hit song "BTNS" or "Bakit Nangyari 'To Sa 'Tin."
It turned out that a personal story emotionally connected Carl to the song.
Carl revealed that while he was still composing the song, he shared it with a female celebrity with whom he was on the "talking stage".
He couldn't finish the song then and could only do so when their relationship didn't progress.
"May isang instance na mag-guest kami sa isang show, mag pe-perform kami tapos bago kami sumalang, nalaman ko na yung ka-talking stage ko may boyfriend pala na kaibigan ko rin," Carl looked back.

HOPING FOR ANOTHER CHANCE
Carl's painful story didn't end there.
When the celebrity and her boyfriend broke up, Carl found himself gravitating towards the same girl, hoping for things to turn out differently the second time around.
"When they broke up, we started talking again and dito ako naging marupok," Carl candidly admitted.
He continued, "Eh gusto ko siya, e, so nung break na sila, malinis na break na talaga, nag-usap kami ulit, so akala ko ayun na yun."
Carl admitted ignoring the red flags as he was still smitten with his celebrity friend.
"I am not shy to admit na kahit may mga red flags siya noong umpisa, noong kinausap niya ako ulit nagre-engaged ako," said Carl.
Added Carl, "Although feeling ko mas totoo na yun kasi nakakausap niya na ang mga friends ko, nag Facetime na kami ulit, family ko nakausap na niya, mga kaibigan ko sa probinsya naka-Facetime niya.
"So, akala ko, baka ito na talaga yun, game na talaga."
But it wasn't meant to be.
Carl's hopes were shattered upon learning heartbreaking news about the female celebrity.
"Nagulat ako na one time, may nakita kaming article ina-announce na she is with another person and they are official," Carl revealed.
"It's out here. They are celebrated. They're a love team."
"SHE'S A GOOD PERSON"
However, Carl stressed that he harbors no hard feelings for the female celebrity.
He is even open to the idea of rekindling their relationship as friends. Carl though is not entertaining the thought of falling in love again with the celebrity.
"The reason why we wanna protect her is because I still believe at the end of the day that she has a good heart. She's a good person," Carl mentioned, alluding to his decision not to name the celebrity or give hints about her identity.
"Maybe one way or another there's just something na nangyari sa kanya. Maybe that's how the industry is, maybe it's how her past heartbreak affected her."
