Claudine Barretto shed tears twice when she visited the wake of the late actress Jaclyn Jose.

At around 1 a.m. on March 5, 2024, Claudine arrived at Arlington Araneta Avenue, in Quezon City, to give her condolences.
Claudine immediately approached Andi Eigenmann and gave her a tight hug. The two ladies sat down beside each other while Andi's half-brother Gabby Eigenmann joined them by sitting down in the row behind them.

While talking to Andi and Gabby, Claudine burst into tears and Andi held her hand and reached over to give her a hug.
After composing herself, Claudine entered the family room and gave her condolences to the Eigenmann clan.
Claudine then approached the urn containing the ashes of Jaclyn and cried again as she paid her respects.
She then turned to the portrait of Jaclyn and touched it with her right hand as her way of bidding goodbye to the veteran actress.
Jaclyn was Claudine's co-star in the ABS-CBN teleseryes Mula sa Puso (1997) and Ikaw Ang Lahat Sa Akin (2005).
Gabby told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) that he would never forget the date of Jaclyn's passing because it coincides with his birthday on March 2.
"Nagtataka ako kung bakit hindi niya ako binati last Saturday, may nangyari na pala," said Gabby.
Jaclyn was 60 when she passed away on March 2, 2024.

Gabby is the eldest son of late actor Mark Gil with actress Irene Celebre.
Mark is the father of Andi, Jaclyn's daughter.
In the coming days, colleagues of Jaclyn from ABS-CBN, Batang Quiapo, Viva Films, GMA-7, and PPL Entertainment will pay tribute to the first Filipino to win the Cannes Film Festival Best Actress trophy.
Jaclyn was recognized in 2016 for the film Ma' Rosa.

GUESTS WHO VISITED THE FIRST NIGHT
Kapuso star Alden Richards arrived at around 10 p.m. and he gave a hug to Andi and Gabby. The GMA-7 actor spent time talking with other mourners and left around midnight.

Ivana Alawi also arrived that Monday night and chatted with Jake Ejercito, the ex-boyfriend of Andi.

Eddie Mesa and wife Rosemarie Gil were present that night along with other members of their family, namely Sid Lucero, Ryan Eigenmann, Max Eigenmann, and Michael de Mesa.
Veronica Jones, sister of Jaclyn and former actress, was the one who carried the urn containing Jaclyn's ashes and handed it to Andi so it could be placed at the pedestal filled with flowers prepared for the wake.
Other celebrities during the first night of the wake were Christopher de Leon and wife Sandy Andolong, Lorna Tolentino, Tirso Cruz III and wife Lynn Ynchausti-Cruz, Amy Austria, Sylvia Sanchez, and Isabel Rivas.
Allen Dizon went straight from the airport since he had just arrived in Manila after a 9-hour flight from Dubai.
