The upcoming months will be busy for acclaimed actress Dolly de Leon as she starts filming for a Hollywood project to jumpstart 2024.
Dolly will fly to Munich, Germany in January for the series Nine Perfect Strangers seen on the streaming platform Hulu.
It was in June of this year when reports came out that Dolly signed up for the show's second season.
Nine Perfect Strangers made its debut on August 18, 2021, and went on to become Hulu's most-watched original to premiere at the time.
The second season will see Academy Award-winner Nicole Kidman back as Masha Dmitrichenko, head of the wellness resort Tranquillum House.

The series is based on a novel by Liane Moriarty and follows the story of a group of city dwellers checking in to the resort to recharge their spirits only to experience the opposite.
HEADING TO EUROPE
Dolly, who gained international recognition for her role in Triangle of Sadness, is elated that filming for the project is finally pushing through after months of waiting.

Like many Hollywood projects, Nine Perfect Strangers had to halt production work because of the actors' strike that dragged on from July 14 to November 9 of this year.
More than 60,000 members of the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA), plus screenwriters, participated in the strike to demand better pay, good working conditions, and changes on certain contract provisions including protection against the use of artificial intelligence.
The prevailing uncertainty was the reason why Dolly was initially tight-lipped about the details of her participation in Nine Perfect Strangers and other international projects.
But with the strike now over, Dolly is free to discuss and promote her upcoming works.
"Magsu-shoot na kami sa January 15. So, lilipad na ako ng first week of January to Munich, Germany," Dolly told reporters, including PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), on the opening night of the QCinema International Film Festival recently.

Dolly will be in Munich to work on Nine Perfect Strangers for approximately six months.
She said in anticipation, "Ini-expect ko lang I'm gonna have so much fun. Alam ko na yun, I'm gonna have so much fun doing it.
"And I'm sure it's also gonna be challenging kasi siyempre ang liit lang ng cast and it's super cold there, [it's] winter, so it's gonna be challenging, but that's part of it."
Dolly intends to revisit the script as she refrained from going through them while the strike was ongoing.
"Ngayon, hinihintay ko pang i-send nila yung the rest of it [script]. I only have the first six episodes, hinihintay ko pa yung seven, eight, and nine [episode script]."
MORE OF DOLLY
In the meantime, three Hollywood films starring Dolly are expected to hit cinemas next year.
She shared, "Yung ginawa ko nung April, yung Between the Temples tsaka yung Ghost Light tsaka Grand Death Lotto, lalabas na next year."
Between the Temples is described as "an anxious comedy" and stars Jason Schwartzman (The Grand Budapest Hotel, Asteroid City) and Carol Kane (Dog Day Afternoon, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt).
The action-comedy film Grand Death Lotto is top-billed by wrestling superstar John Cena, Awkwafina (Crazy Rich Asians,The Little Mermaid), and Simu Liu (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Barbie).
Dolly, meanwhile, said about the plot of Ghost Light, "It's about a family's way of healing because they experienced a death in the family through theater."
Locally, Dolly was recently seen in the dark comedy A Very Good Girl with Kapamilya star Kathryn Bernardo.
