"The show must go on" is every artist's motto even when he/she is not feeling well, and even if he/she anticpates that the result can be disappointing to the audience.
Gigi De Lana ranted about this, addressing the netizens' criticisms each time a performer delivers a lackluster live show.
She wrote in a Twitter post on September 12, 2023 (published as is):
"Dami niyo reklamo sa mga singers and performers.
"Malay niyo naman kaya matamlay performance eh may sakit yung tao.
"Di nalang kayo mag enjoy mga beh. And magsaya.
"Parang di kami nagkakasakit ah?
"Ano kami? robot?"

Her tweet coincided with the her group The Gigi Vibes' recent performances in Ilocos Norte and Polomolok in South Cotabato last week.

REACTION
In response to her tweet, fans showed their support for and agreement with Gigi's statement.
One of them said, "Wag problemahin mga ganyang tao... there will always be idiots... Relax lang, hindi sila importante [emojis]"
Another playfully remarked, "Kahit maging robot ka atii lab padin hihih"
Someone apologized, saying, "Pasensya na di namin alam na may sakit ka...kasalanan namin [emoji]"
Meanwhile, a netizen offered encouragement: "Cherish what you have and regard the harsh criticism as your motivation for progress. Don't be frustrated. When you pray for rain, you also have to deal with the mud too."
FAINTING ON STAGE
It's only been four months since Gigi and her bandmates suffered minor injuries after getting into a car accident last May 14, 2023.

Two days later, the frontwoman told Julius Babao and Tintin Bersola in an interview that she fainted on stage because she hadn't fully recovered from the accident.
She explained, "Ano po kasi, di ba po, pag after ng accident hindi mo naman mararamdaman agad lahat, e, [yung] parang response nung katawan mo.
"So nandun po ako sa stage, siyempre yung ilaw, kagagaling lang sa accident, so alam niyo po yung para kang magba-blackout.
"Hindi naman po ako totally nahimatay, talaga pong nahilo na naramdaman ko lahat ng sakit.
"Tapos hindi ko po ma-control yung boses ko. Tapos nahilo na talaga ako, hindi ko na kaya."
