Ayon sa legal counsel ng TAPE Inc. na si Atty. Maggie Garduque, sa pahayag na ipinadala niya sa GMA News Online, “This is not true. This is absolutely false news.”
Nag-ugat ang isyu sa post ni TAPE Chief Finance Officer Mayor Bullet Jalosjos ng larawan niya kasama si Senator Mark Villar noong August 14, 2023, sa mismong kaarawan ng mambabatas.
Caption ni Mayor Bullet, "Happy Birthday Sen. Mark Villar."
Hindi na mahanap ngayon sa Instagram account ng alklade ang larawan nila ni Villar.
Paliwanag ni Atty. Garduque, “Camella of the Villars is major sponsor of Eat Bulaga’s segment 'May Pa-key Kami Sa’Yo' wherein winners can win house and lot.
"If you can see the original post, Bullet merely greeted Mark Villar on his birthday.
“There is no basis for the speculation that said birthday greeting will be tantamount to intention to transfer to AllTV.”
Ang ALLTV ay pag-aari ng pamilya Villar.
Ang Eat Bulaga! ay dating hinu-host nina Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, at Joey de Leon.
Noong May 31, 2023 ay kumalas ang TVJ, kasama lahat ng co-hosts, dahil sa isyu nila sa bagong pamunuan ng TAPE.

Nagbukas ng bagong noontime show ang TVJ sa TV5, ang E.A.T., na nagsimulang umere noong July 1, 2023.

Tila naitsapuwera naman ang It’s Showtime nina Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis, Vhong Navarro, Kim Chiu, at iba pa sa TV5 kaya lumipat ito sa GTV, ang free-to-air channel ng GMA-7.
