Voice talent and content creator Inka Magnaye was still on cloud nine after the premiere of the DC superhero film, Blue Beetle.
The screening was held at IMAX Theater in SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City on Tuesday, August 15, 2023.
Inka is the voice behind the Scarab, called Khaji-Da — the alien technology that attached to the body of main protagonist Jaime Reyes portrayed on screen by Xolo Maridueña — in the Philippine theatrical release of the movie.
Warner Bros. Philippines handpicked Inka for the special project.
"There's a different kind of responsibility knowing that I'm the first-ever Filipino, Philippine-based Filipino talent that DC is going to get for their superhero movie," Inka told the media during a press conference on August 9, 2023.
“And I'm the only one doing this. I'm the only one dubbing the Scarab in the entire region. The other countries aren't even doing that.”

SURREAL FEELING
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) had a quick chat with Inka at the premiere night.
Like everyone in the cinema, it was also Inka's first time to watch the movie in its entirety.
"Yes, as in totally," she excitedly shared while in the middle of granting photo op and autograph requests from the audience.
Inka added, "Because when we were recording it, I only got to see a few seconds right before my line and once we finished recording that, next one na.
"I really don't remember all the lines that I did because I was so focused on working."
Inka said with a laugh, "So when I was watching it, 'Oh, yeah, I recorded that nga pala!'"
Inka recalled recording her voice parts in a single day "from 10 a.m. until like 6 p.m."
Was the work exhausting?
"It was," replied Inka. "But it's the kind that makes you feel really good and really proud."
She described the feeling of hearing her voice in the movie as "amazing," especially since she herself enjoys watching superheroes on the big screen.
"I feel so proud, I feel happy 'coz I love watching superhero movies and then I'm in it so, 'What!'"
Are there similar kinds of projects in the pipeline for her to do?
"There are hopes," beamed Inka, whose past works as a voice talent include Start-Up PH and was also seen in Eat Bulaga! as a judge in the segment "Bida Voice: Shy Singing Competition."
Inka is widely known as the voice behind the in-flight instructional safety announcement of Philippine Airlines (PAL), earning her the witty title "the voice that launched a thousand flights."

She continued, "There aren't any plans yet, but I'm open to anything and everything."
