Agosto 4-13, 2023 ang Cinemalaya XIX: ilumiNasyon sa Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) at Ayala Malls.
Ang apat na venues sa PICC ay Cinema Rizal (Meeting Room 1), Cinema Bonifacio (Meeting Room 2/3), Cinema Felipe (Meeting Room 4), at Cinema Palma (Meeting Room 5).
Ang apat na venues sa Ayala Malls ay Manila Bay Cinema 9, Trinoma Cinema 1, Glorietta Cinema 2, at UP Town Center Cinema 3.
May mga event din sa Tanghalang Ignacio B. Gimenez (CCP Black Box Theater).
Under renovation ang Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) kaya PICC ang bagong tahanan ng Cinemalaya indie filmfest.
Sabi-sabi tuloy, ang ibig nang sabihin ng PICC ay Philippine International Cinema Center.
Noon pa man ay ginanap na sa PICC ang iba’t ibang filmfest.

Ang Marupok AF (Where Is The Lie) ang opening film ng Cinemalaya 2023 sa Agosto 4, Biyernes.
5:00 p.m. ang Red Carpet, at 6:15 p.m. ang Opening Ceremony — sa PICC Grand Lobby. 7:00 p.m. ang screening sa Cinema Rizal.
Isa itong dark dark comedy, thriller film sa direksiyon ni Quark Henares.
SYNOPSIS: Marupok AF (Where Is The Lie) focuses on a hopeless romantic Janzen Torres who finds another chance at love when she matches with the handsome and seemingly perfect Theo Balmaceda on a dating app. Unfortunately, on the day of their meet-up, Theo ghosts her, leading Janzen into an intricate web of deceit, lies, and catfishing by sociopathic mastermind Beanie Landridos.
Tampok sa 89-minute film sina EJ Jallorina, Royce Cabrera, at Maris Racal.
Ang closing film ng 19th edition ng Cinemalaya ay ang Third World Romance ni Direk Dwein Ruedas Baltazar, kung saan bida ang magkasintahang Carlo Aquino at Charlie Dizon.
Nasa cast din nito sina Ana Abad Santos, Gardo Versoza, Archi Adamos, Iyah Mina, Esnyr Ranollo, Xilhouete, Brian Black, Lady Morgana, Junjun Quintana, at Donna Cariaga.

Mapapanood ito sa Agosto 6, Linggo ng 9:00 p.m. sa Cinema Felipe. Kasabay ng screening nito ang gala ng Rookie.
Humakot ng siyam na awards ang May Minamahal sa MMFF 1993, kabilang ang best director (Jose Javier Reyes), best actor (Aga Muhlach), best supporting actor (Ronaldo Valdez), best art direction (Benjie de Guzman), best story (Jose Javier Reyes), best screenplay (Jose Javier Reyes), best float, second Best Picture, at Gatpuno Antonio J. Villegas Cultural Award.
For this movie ay nagwagi ring best supporting actor si Ronaldo sa Gawad Urian at FAMAS.

The Cinemalaya 18’s Best Film follows the journey of a 17-year-old Moro child soldier whose father was killed in an all-out war in 2000 as he dreams to become a baseball player. The film also won Best Screenplay (Carl Obispo), Best Editing (Zig Dulay), and Best Actor (Tommy Alejandrino).
Blue Room, directed by Ma-an L. Asuncion-Dagñalan.
Rebel Rebel, an indie rock band composed of woke albeit sheltered teens, gets its biggest break at a prestigious local music festival. But after their celebratory night at the local bar, they are arrested for drug possession. Blue Room won various awards in Cinemalaya 2022, including the Special Jury Award, Best Director (Ma-an L. Asuncion-Dagñalan), Best Supporting Actor (Soliman Cruz), Best Cinematography (Neil Daza), and Best Production Design (Marxie Maolen Fadul).
12 Weeks, directed by Anna Isabelle Matutina.
After ending her toxic relationship with her boyfriend Ben, 40-year-old Alice discovers she is pregnant.
