Among the highlights of the recently concluded GMA Gala 2023 was the attendance of Kapamilya stars and personalities.
One of the guests from ABS-CBN who graced the formal event was heartthrob Joshua Garcia, who looked dashing in his elegant black and white attire.
Joshua's presence was not surprising given his involvement in the series Unbreak My Heart, which is a collaboration of GMA Network and ABS-CBN.
The GMA Gala 2023 took place on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Manila Marriott Hotel in Pasay City.
JOSHUA'S BEST-DRESSED BET
The evening was filled with glamour, and all of the guests turned up in their best outfits suited for the occasion.
For Joshua, one Kapuso star who stood out was none other than versatile actress Barbie Forteza, who came wearing a mint green gown by Ehrran Montoya.
"Siya yung nasa harapan ko kanina, sabi ko, 'Ang ganda ng dress nito'," said Joshua when asked by GMA News Online on who he thinks was deserving of the Best Dressed award.
“Hindi siya ganun ka-flashy pero at the same time, nandun yung pagka-elegante nung babae."
The two stars had a short interaction during the event when they greeted each other at the lobby, giving each other a kiss on the cheek. Then Barbie, like a gracious host, said to Joshua, "Thank you for coming."

Incidentally, Barbie mentioned Joshua as among the ABS-CBN stars who she would like to work with in the future.
"Gusto ko pong makatrabaho si Joshua Garcia," Barbie told broadcast journalist Karen Davila in a vlog interview uploaded on YouTube in March of this year.
"Napanood ko po siya sa Vince and Kath and James [2016]. Pinanood ko po yun sa sinehan. Magaling," said Barbie.
Barbie walked solo on the red carpet at the GMA Gala 2023, putting speculations to rest on whether she'd go with boyfriend Jak Roberto or current love team partner David Licauco.

While fans were divided on their opinions about Barbie's decision to go dateless at the event, many also applauded the move, citing how it made the Maria Clara at Ibarra star stand out even more.

As for Barbie, she simply wrote on Twitter a day after the event, "What's a girl gonna do? A diamond's gotta shine."
