Bestselling author VentreCanard of the hit book series Caught In His Arms admires Sofia Pablo’s dedication to bringing the character of Florence Dela Cruz to life in the upcoming TV adaptation by GMA-7.
"Thankful ako kay Sofia kasi she gave it her all to play Florence," said VentreCanard, who uploaded the first chapters of her series on online platform Wattpad over a decade ago.
Since then, the series has garnered over 55 million reads.
It was eventually published into a hit book trilogy—Caught In His Arms, Back in HIs Arms Again, and Embracing Arms—by Pop Fiction, an imprint of Summit Books.
VentreCanard revealed that Sofia reached out to her after reading the books.
"Love ko po talaga si Sofia kasi binasa niya yung buong series."

SOFIA PABLO: READING THE BOOK
Sofia landed the role in 2022, when it was formally announced by GMA-7 that the book was being turned into a TV series.
VentreCanard said that after the young actress landed the lead role of Florence Dela Cruz (later Celestina Almero), Sofia read all the books to learn more about her character’s thoughts and motivations.
In collaboration with Wattpad Webtoon Studios, the series premiered on January 17, 2023.
Sofia was joined by Michael Sager, Raheel Byria, Sean Lucas, and Vince Maristela, who played Owen, Aldus, Troy, and Tristan, respectively.
Her leading man was Allen Ansay, who played Nero Ferell.
The book Caught In His Arms is about Florence Almero, a rich heiress who turns to an old family friend for sanctuary after she is forced into an arranged marriage.
There, she meets his infamous grandsons: Aldus, Owen, Tristan, Troy, and Nero Ferell. Hijinks ensue as she becomes a part of their world, but the secrets of the past are bound to catch up to her.
The last book in the trilogy, Embracing Arms, was just published by Pop Fiction.
VentreCanard—who is fondly called "Kapitana" by her fans—initially had no plans to publish a new addition to the story of Florence and the Ferrells. But her fans prevailed.
"Gusto kasi ng readers ko na makabasa ng flashback tungkol sa mga Ferrells," she said.
"Kaya sila talaga yung inspiration ko to write the third book."
The secretive VentreCanard, who only revealed her face to the public last year, had her first book signing on April 30, 2023, at Robinsons Galleria.
More than 400 of her loyal Angels and Archangels—as VentreCanard’s fans call themselves—filled the mall’s main atrium to have their books signed by their idol.
Embracing Arms is now available online on Lazada and Shopee at Summit Books, and in bookstores nationwide for PHP225.
