The popular K-pop girl group ITZY returns to the Philippines.
Face to face with the local press once again last Saturday, April 15, 2023, the quintet was in good spirits as they gear up to meet their loyal Pinoy fans once more.
ITZY – composed of Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna – is behind the hit songs “Icy,” “Dalla Dalla,” “Not Shy,” and “Wannabe.”
“Every time we visit the Philippines, we can feel the overflowing passion of the Filipino fans as well as the bright energy that they give,” said Lia through an interpreter.
ITZY's last Manila gig was in January, where they did a two-night concert titled CHECKMATE at the Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena in Pasay City.

The group first visited the Philippines pre-pandemic, back in 2019.

BRAND AMBASSADORS; MEETING FANS
Incidentally, the MOA Arena will once again host the group’s fan meeting tonight, April 16, where they promised to give back to their Filipino supporters all the love through activities that are fun and interactive.
It’s another way for their Filipino fans to see them up close and get to know them better.
That desire to connect to fans is no lip service as the group has continuously honed their knowledge of Filipino in an effort to reach out to more Pinoy supporters.
“Na-miss niyo ba kami?" Yuna asked the crowd during their latest press conference.

Aside from the fan meet, part of the hit-making group’s agenda is to serve as ambassadors for the fashion and lifestyle brand, Bench.
Given all their success and achievements, one may wonder how each of the members keep themselves grounded and not get too swell-headed with all the attention and accolades that come their way.
For Yuna, the camaraderie honed by years of togetherness strengthened their relationship with one another, instilling in them the value of being level-headed at all times.
Speaking of Yuna and being grounded, many fans were thrilled back in January after she was spotted buying bread from a local bakery in Brgy. Sangat, San Fernando, Cebu.
Yuna bought pandesal wearing a classic white top, denim jeans, and black square-frame dark glasses.

That solidarity within the group is, of course, reflected in their slogan “all in us,” which represents their message of self-love, empathy, and embracing one’s individuality.
Formed in 2019, ITZY is part of JYP Entertainment and emerged as one of South Korea’s most promising groups with hits and a growing fan base worldwide under its belt.
