The stage is set for the 35th edition of the glittering Star Awards for Television—with veteran stars Pops Fernandez, Aiko Melendez, and John Estrada as hosts.
With the pandemic now easing, the annual event organized by the Philippine Movie Press Club, Inc. (PMPC) will have its first face-to-face awarding ceremony on January 28, 2023, at the Winford Manila Resort and Casino.
Asia's Nightingale Lani Misalucha will take center stage for the opening number, while world-class artist Kuh Ledesma will close the awarding ceremony with a grand performance.
The Jamsap talents and other surprise guests will do a special number.
Kris Lawrence, Joaquin Garcia, and JV Decena will do the tribute number honoring the lifetime achievement awardees.
They are TV host-turned-politician Senator Raffy Tulfo, who will receive the Excellence in Broadcasting Lifetime Achievement Award, and former actress Connie Angeles, the Ading Fernando Lifetime Achievement Award.
The recipients of the German Moreno Power Tandem of the Year are showbiz’s hottest tandems: Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano and Kelvin Miranda and Mikee Quintos.
The 35th Star Awards edition is led by incumbent PMPC President Fernan de Guzman together with the club's officers and members.
On hand to lend them support JAMSAP Entertainment Corporation led by Jojo Flores and Maricar Moina.
Frank Lloyd Mamaril directs the show.
