Satisfied si Jonas Gaffud at mga kasamahan sa Miss Universe Philippines (MUPH) Organization sa naging performance ni Celeste Cortesi sa preliminary competition ng Miss Universe 2022 pageant.
Ito ay sa kabila ng magkakahalong opinyon ng supporters ni Celeste at iba pang pageant fans.
Aminado si Jonas, creative director ng MUPH Organization, na maraming mga komento at puna matapos ang performance ni Celeste sa prelims.
Pero wala na raw mahihiling pa si Jonas sa naging performance ng pambato ng Pilipinas sa prelims—nagpakatotoo raw si Celeste at ginawa ang kanyang makakaya.
Idinaan ni Jonas ang kanyang saloobin sa pamamagitan ng Instagram post pagkatapos ng prelims na ginanap nitong January 12 (Philippine time).
“People have their opinion on what she should have done and all during the preliminaries at Miss Universe,” bungad ni Jonas.
“I just felt proud to see her on stage. How she moved, the subtle and effortless beauty she possesses.
“She does not have to act like someone else. She is as authentic as she can be.”
MUPH IS SATISFIED WITH CELESTE’S PERFORMANCE
Ganito rin ang sinabi ni Voltaire Tayag, MUPH director of communications.
Ang grupo nina Jonas at Voltaire ay nasa New Orleans para magabayan at suportahan si Celeste.
Ibinahagi ni Voltaire na nagkaroon ng diskusyon ang MUPH Organization ukol sa naging performance ni Celeste sa preliminary competition.
“From the organization’s point of view, because we’ve had a discussion earlier…” paliwanag ni Voltaire sa interview ng CNN Philippines ngayong January 13, 2023.
“We are so proud of her. We are very proud of the performance, and we know that she’s done everything that she could, given all the preparations. And there’s nothing we could ask for from her.”
Bagamat bawal na nilang lapitan at abutan ng kahit anuman si Celeste bilang bahagi ng protocol, constant ang communication ni Voltaire sa beauty queen.
Inusisa si Voltaire ukol sa reaksiyon ni Celeste sa naging performance niya sa prelims.
Sabi ni Voltaire, “She felt great, she was very happy. And one of the main things that she was [happy about], she was finally able to show the cape during the swimsuit competition.”
Ang cape na ginamit ni Celeste sa swimsuit competition sa prelims ay ang handprints ng mga bata sa Marawi nang bumisita roon ang grupo ng beauty queen noong nakaraang taon.
Ang Miss Universe 2022 grand coronation ay gaganapin sa darating na Linggo, January 15 (Philippine time).
