Filipino actress Dolly de Leon nabs a Golden Globe 2023 nomination for her performance in Triangle of Sadness.

Filipino actress Dolly de Leon is nominated for Best Supporting Actress in the 2023 Golden Globes.

Dolly is nominated for her performance as Abigail, the "toilet manager" of a luxury yacht, in Robert Ostlund's Triangle of Sadness, Palme d'Or winner at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival.

She will be competing against Angela Bassett (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever), Kerry Condon (The Banshees of Inisherin), Jamie Lee Curtis (Everything Everywhere All at Once), and Carey Mulligan (She Said).

This is the first time that a Filipino actress is nominated in an acting category at the Golden Globes.

Prior to this, Dolly was chosen by the Los Angeles Film Critics Association for Best Supporting Performer, also for Triangle of Sadness.

With this back-to-back accolades, Dolly's chances of earning an Oscar nomination seems plausible.
