Content creator-turned-actor Esnry Ranollo could not be more grateful to his fans for their overwhelming support than at any time since he started uploading videos on TikTok.
The 20-year-old social media star expressed to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), "I am nothing without the support of sambayanang classmates."
Esnyr rose to fame for his funny school videos on Tiktok, and now has over 5.2 million followers, with each of his videos raking in millions of views.
PEP.ph spoke to Esnry during the TikTok Awards Philippines 2022 last August 13, 2022, at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.
Esnyr was also able to transition to mainstream media, and is now signed as a talent under Rise Artist Studio, the talent-management arm of ABS-CBN Films.
He has also starred in the rom-com movie Love Is Color Blind (2021) and the second season of the Kapamilya series titled He's Into Her.
The TikTok star said he never expected to achieve these milestones when he started uploading videos on the app.
"Never ko po talaga siyang inexpect kasi parang yung goal ko lang po is magpasaya lang ng tao.
"'Tapos wala na po ito sa expectation ko. It exceeds my expectations.
"And I'm grateful po that I'm given such opportunity and many doors na nag-open po just because of one video and also na naging madaming video na po.
"It opened many doors and I'm super happy po."
FEELING THE PRESSURE
Being fairly new in the showbiz scene, Esnyr admitted feeling out place at times.
"I'm new in the showbiz industry, pero nang dahil sa TikTok, parang napasok din ako dito, nakitaan ako ng potential.
"Siguro, I have a lot to explore and a lot to improve din po, siyempre, since bago din ako sa showbiz industry, and I hope na progessive po yung magiging career ko sa showbiz."
He added, "Nakaka-pressure lang din kasi parang nafi-feel ko na I'm super out of [place]. Parang super random na nakaka-[work] ko sila.
"Happy lang din ako na I was once a fan 'tapos ngayon, nakaka-work na sila. Super grateful."
Esnyr was also very grateful for the friendship of his Love Is Color Blind co-stars Donnie Pangilinan and Belle Mariano, among many others.
Esnyr told PEP.ph, "Super glad po na I got to work with some great actors like Donny Pangilinan, Belle Mariano, Joshua Garcia...
"And soon po, if ever, sana ma-collab ko sina Kathryn [Bernardo], ganun po."
