Sa Instagram noong July 31, 2022, nag-post si Zia ng larawan niya kasama ang asawang si Aleksa.
Ibinunyag na rin ng anak ng Divine Diva na si Zsa Zsa Padilla at yumaong Comedy King na si Dolphy ang apelyido ng asawa, na dinadala na rin niya ngayong kasal na sila.

Sa comments section, may isang follower si Zia ang nagsabing hindi niya kailangang magpakita pa ng pruweba tungkol sa kanyang napangasawa.
May karapatan daw siya kung ano ang kanyang nais ibahagi o panatilihing pribado.

Buong sagot ni Zia: “Thank you. I appreciate that. It’s mostly in the hopes people stop spreading rumors about me being a lesbian. Not I think that there is anything wrong with being gay.
“And not that I haven’t had to deal with that kind of thing for pretty much my whole life.
“It couldnt possibly compare to the kind of discrimination people who are actually gay must have to deal with, but it has a lot to do with my sense of kinship with the community.
“I felt like I was put in an awkward position and did not want to lead people on with the false hope of much needed representation.
“I hope this can help people understand that while speculations about a person’s sexuality might just be a matter of curiousity for some, it is a matter of personal safety for others. Much love (for everyone)”
“TRUE VALUE OF STANDING UP”
Isang Pilipinang katulad ni Zia na nakapangasawa rin ng Serbian ang naghayag naman ng kanyang saloobin.
Ayon sa netizen, biktima rin siya ng mga usap-usapan noon tungkol sa kanyang sekswalidad. No boyfriend since birth (NBSB) daw kasi siya at itinago niya ang kanyang love life hanggang sa nag-asawa siya.
Masaya siyang ipinaglaban ni Zia ang mga karapatan ng LGBTQ.
