ABS-CBN is bringing back the original Mara Clara on air through its Jeepney TV YouTube channel.
Mara Clara, which ran from 1992 to 1997, catapulted its stars Judy Ann Santos and Gladys Reyes to fame.
Both teenagers then, Judy Ann was hailed as Teleserye Queen and Gladys as Primera Kontrabida.
Jeepney TV has scheduled the YouTube premiere of Mara Clara's first two episodes on July 28 at 1:00 and 1:30 p.m., respectively.
In July 2021, Judy Ann and Gladys reenacted some of their Mara Clara scenes during their reunion in PEP.ph's online talk show, PEP Live, in which they shared interesting trivia about the show.

Judy Ann remembered becoming a little emotional when she and Gladys took part in the teaser of ABS-CBN's remake of Maria Clara in October 2010.
The teaser showed Judy Ann and Gladys passing on their roles to Kathryn Bernardo as Mara and Julia Montes as Clara.
Currently, the original Mara Clara's first episode and the show's 2010 remake are streaming on ABS-CBN Entertainment YouTube channel.
Mara Clara is scheduled to replace another classic Judy Ann Santos-teleserye, Esperanza.
Jeepney TV has been uploading Esperanza episodes since April 2021, and its last episode will air on YouTube on July 27, 2022.
Usually, Jeepney TV uploads two episodes of ABS-CBN classic teleseryes daily.
The other classic Kapamilya teleseryes that are available on Jeepney TV's YouTube channel are Recuerdo de Amor and Mula sa Puso, as well as drama anthologies Calvento Files, Ipaglaban Mo, and Star Drama Theater.
