The prime-time series of Gabbi Garcia and Khalil Ramos is finally getting a green light after it was temporarily shelved in 2021.
A full trailer for their Public Affairs series, Love You Stranger, was released yesterday, May 24, 2022.
The series is expected to have a mix of suspense and romance.
Based on the full trailer, Gabbi plays the role of LJ, a production designer who gets to work with Ben (Khalil Ramos), a director who wants to do a movie about Lilom, a mysterious creature in Sta. Castela.
LJ is iffy to accept the project because her mom (Andrea del Rosario) was kidnapped and driven crazy by the creature.
LJ eventually agrees to do the project.
In the course of working together, Ben ldiscovers that LJ is his long-lost childhood sweetheart, the very reason why he is doing the movie.
In the middle of the project, LJ and Ben find themselves drawn to each other without even knowing their real connection in the past.
The full trailer ends with an unknown creature appearing at a big party attended by LJ, Ben, and the characters of Carmi Martin and Lexi Gonzales.
Love You Stranger, the first prime-time series of GabLil, is set to premiere on June 6, 2022, replacing Mano Po Legacy: Her Big Boss.
Also part of the cast are Gil Cuerva, Tonton Gutierrez, and Kim de Leon, among many others.
King Baco directs the show while acclaimed writer-director Irene Villamor serves as script consultant.
This marks the first full-length project of Khalil in GMA-7 after transferring to the network in 2020.
Before this project, Love You Stranger, Khalil and Gabbi already headlined the mini-series Stories From The Heart: Love On-Air in November 2021, which ran for three weeks.
Love You Stranger was supposed to be aired on Gtv in early 2021. However, the network decided to temporarily shelve the project because of the growing cases of COVID-19 at that time.
Cameras started rolling again for Love You Stranger in January 2022.
