Thea Tolentino is currently trending on TikTok because of a scene in one of her defunct Kapuso shows.
In the 2019 afternoon series Madrasta, Thea played the kontrabida ex-wife of Juancho Trivino.
The viral scene showed the characters of Thea and Juancho having an intense argument.
Juancho stormed out of the house and went to his car. Thea followed him, asking him to stay and not leave her.
What netizens noticed was: Thea slammed the car door as Juancho sat in the driver's seat.
But after slamming the car door, Thea then told Juancho, "Buksan mo ito!"
The video posted on TikTok was edited, and the lines of its background music were, “Alam kong alam mong libre maging tanga/ Pero ang masama doon, balak mong araw-arawin pa.”
THEA'S REACTION
Thea did a TikTok reaction video to the viral scene and clarified what really happened.
She acted surprised and confused, mouthing, "Ako? Ako?"
She posted this reaction video on her Facebook account on February 22, 2022. She wrote in her Facebook post (published as is), “AKO daw yung nag-sara. Sige na sabi niyo e.
“Ang shunga shunga KO naman! [laughing emoji] ano ba yan. Si Juancho naman kasi hindi sinabi… HAHAHA
"Sana nasa set kayo para nasabi niyo sakin nakita niyo! [laughing emoji] #Madrasta #sarcasm baka kasi hindi parin gets”
If you look closely at the video, it was actually Juancho who shut the car's door while Thea was holding it.
Juancho's hand was not clearly seen because of the camera angle.
Kapuso artists Benjamin Alves and Kim Rodriguez left witty comments on Thea’s post.
Benjamin wrote, “Akala ko all this time automatic Yung door.”
Kim commented, “Kahit hinila po ni Juancho tska sabi ni direk di mo na daw sya mahahabol hihihi”
Some netizens supported Thea, while others said that better camera angles could have made it more obvious that it was Juancho who slammed the door.
