Binasag na sa wakas ni Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Beatrice Luigi Gomez ang kanyang katahimikan ukol sa hiwalayan nila ng ex-girlfriend na si Kate Jagdon.
Naghiwalay sina Beatrice at Kate noong November 2021 o isang buwan bago ang Miss Universe 2021 pageant sa Israel.
Higit na anim na taon ang itinagal ng kanilang relasyon.
Nabatikos noon si Beatrice dahil sa espekulasyong iniwan niya sa ere si Kate para sa korona.
Sa pamamagitan ng Instagram Stories ngayong araw, February 16, 2022, ibinahagi ni Beatrice ang kanyang panig sa breakup nila ni Kate.
Panahon na raw para ituwid ang mga maling akusasyon sa kanya.
Ayon kay Beatrice, natuklasan niyang may third party sa parte ni Kate sa kasagsagan ng pagsali niya sa Miss Universe Philippines (MUPH) noong September 2021.
Mas ginugol daw ni Kate ang oras sa paglabas-labas at pakikipagbarkada.
Lahad ni Beatrice: “I can only endure so much for too long. It is hard to advocate for mental health when I myself struggled through pressure, anxiety, and even depression.
“When I was on my way to the MUPH competition, after a series of confrontations I learned that she had already been entertaining a person named ‘Adam’ for over a year during our relationship, she's made out with someone, made a move on other girls, and have been going out more often than usual that there were even times she wouldn't come home for days.
“I wouldn't know where she was or who she was with. I didn't recognize her anymore and things began to change.
“People warned me about what she's been doing and yet I continued to defend her and even tried my best to make it work.
“For over two months when I was already here in Manila, I was on video call with her for as much as possible."
Inamin ni Beatrice na nagkulang siya sa panahon para kay Kate, pero hindi raw tama na sisihin siya ng ibang tao gayong hindi alam ng mga ito ang buong kuwento.
“But long distance made it hard for us, there were days that instead of talking about how our days went she'd be in a party or playing her video games. I wasn't perfect either.
“I focused too much on trying to grow without realizing that I've been taking her for granted.
“All along she had been the victim of this break up because she chose to.
“She didn't have to explain herself because I was already being antagonized and everyone's sympathy was with her," saad niya.
ON BASHERS ACCUSING HER OF USING LGBT FOR "CLOUT"
Noong November 2021, kinumpirma ni Kate sa publiko na wala na sila ni Beatrice.
Bagamat hindi sinabi ni Kate ang dahilan ng breakup nila ni Beatrice, marami nang naghayag ng kanilang pananaw ukol sa isyu.
Ayon kay Beatrice, naapektuhan siya sa mga batikos sa kanya.
Saad niya, “Everyone had said their opinions, posted their statements, shared their sympathies, and expressed their hate.
“I am simply putting this out there for my own peace of mind and nothing else.
“I already decided to stay quiet after people accused me of so many things.
“I chose to compartmentalize my own personal baggages and set it aside to focus on representing Cebu City for MUPH and after that focused all my energy in training and working hard for the Miss Universe competition.
“Aside from the pressure of representing the country I had to suffer being scrutinized by people who didn't know my side of the story.
“It didn't bother me that people were spreading rumors what made me finally say enough is enough is the continuous harassment towards me and my loved ones.”
Sabi ni Beatrice, hanggang ngayon ay hindi pa rin siya pinapatahimik ng bashers.
Paratang ng mga taong bigla na lamang nagpadala ng mensahe sa kanya, ginawa raw niyang miserable ang buhay ni Kate dahil sa kanilang hiwalayan.
Inakusahan din siyang ginamit lang niya ang LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) community para magkaroon ng mas malawak na impluwensiya o "clout."
Pero ani Beatrice, kung talagang naghahanap siya ng clout ay nanatili raw sana siya sa relasyon nila ni Kate kahit "toxic" na ito.
“Trolls went on to my social media accounts posting comments about my personal life as if they knew who I am and even up to this day they would continue to disrespect me on a platform that I use positively for my causes.
“Fake news from social media corrupted so many minds. It affected even the things I advocate for, the very people who I've been rallying for way before Bb. Cebu and MUPH tried to cancel me and told me that I only used being an LGBT member for the clout.
“Clout chasing is staying in a toxic relationship just to keep you people entertained," katuwiran ni Beatrice.
Patuloy niya: “Doubts, fears, and trust issues began to grow as I continued to see people hiding behind fake accounts attacking me and harassing me.
"It was honestly taking its toll on my mental health. It was affecting my family and friends and yet I continued to keep quiet.
"I didn't want anyone to get hurt by telling it all.
"Until the night before the Miss Universe finals I continued to receive messages from her followers, friends, and family about how they wished I'd lose because ‘I made her life miserable when I decided to break up with her.’”
PICKING UP THE PIECES OF HER LIFE
Sa kabila ng pinagdaanang personal na problema, pinilit daw ni Beatrice na palakasin ang loob niya sa tulong ng mga taong gumabay sa kanya.
“I've struggled a lot living alone, adjusting to a new city, and even getting to know people who I can trust and depend on.
“I gained strength, courage, and confidence to get used to a life without her.
“People like Sven Chua, Edward Castro, Dom Moreno, Maui Potente, Oyelle de Leon, and John Odin, they were few of the people who were constantly present when I needed someone to keep me going during my MUPH stint.”
Si John Odin ang napapabalitang bagong karelasyon ni Beatrice.
Patuloy ni Beatrice: “That kind of support grew when I won and was about to compete for MU.
“People who said they'd be here to support me when I needed them only wanted to be present when I already won."
Sa huli, sinabi ni Beatrice na minahal niya si Kate at hindi niya pinagsisisihan ang panahong magkasama sila.
“I can only hope for the best for both of us. I did love her.
“I don't regret anything in the six years that we've been together. I loved her until the last day I was with her.
“We both deserve to be happy... genuinely happy.”
Wala pang pahayag si Kate ukol dito. Kaagad naming ilalathala kung sakaling tumugon siya sa mga sinabi ni Beatrice.
